Working in IT isn't that bad, everyone in IT had some kind of social problem tbh

2019-06-26 01:06:47 UTC

epic and truthpilled

2019-06-26 01:07:39 UTC

like, my disablity isnt like... bad, or anything, basically im just shy, and when i get asked/told to do something i have no clue how to do i get anxious and risk a panic attack

2019-06-26 01:07:59 UTC

technically i could do a desk job, so i can talk to people as long as i know what im supposed to do and say

2019-06-26 01:08:59 UTC

also, im not good with emotion, so i say things super blunt with no tone and no expressions, so ppl seem to think im rude

2019-06-26 01:09:03 UTC

ha

2019-06-26 01:09:14 UTC

If you're doing tier 2 work like network engineering or something, you'll deal very little with people, and that's always good lol

2019-06-26 01:12:40 UTC

I'm really tired of working a job at this point and I'm not going to do this until I'm 65 or 95 or whatever they'll push my retirement age to. Think I'll try my hand and making software like this bot and try to make shekels from it.

Me but unironically hopefully soon

2019-06-26 01:14:09 UTC

getting married is the best option tbh, i dont technically have to work and due to japans traditional views it would be perfectly acceptable for me to be a stay at home housewife so long as my husband can actually afford us both

2019-06-26 01:14:41 UTC

but getting married is hard when i havent had srs yet, i have zero effort put in to looking good for a partner, and i live in an area with no japs

2019-06-26 01:14:52 UTC

or, japs that are jap citizens, since they have to be a jap citizen

2019-06-26 01:15:02 UTC

i might take vacations in japan or something idk

2019-06-26 01:15:15 UTC

or i can try to study in japan and go from there, but like, me and school DO NOT mix

2019-06-26 01:15:21 UTC

especially in another language

2019-06-26 01:18:08 UTC

For trans stuff you're not even considered female here until you've had some kind of bottom surgery from what I understand

2019-06-26 01:21:45 UTC

But I mean they don't seem to care at all over here. The only people who stare at you if you look different are old people or kids. Everyone else pretends you don't exist. Not just for trans stuff. I've seen people getting in the train wearing the absolutely most hilarious cosplay items and people pretend they aren't even there

2019-06-26 01:22:25 UTC

But then again that's Tokyo, people don't really talk at all on the trains there

2019-06-26 01:25:00 UTC

I came back from a sports event once and had some really goofy facepaint on. Thought I was going to get a few laughs, nobody even looked at me. It's really weird sometimes

Best bet tbh would be a contract position on base until you find something more stable or can manage to get married. I would avoid working for Japanese companies at this point if your goal is to get married because you'll have no real time to date working 18 hours a day 7 days a week.

2019-06-26 01:35:54 UTC

American companies with branches in Japan are also a good option but takes a lot of searching.

2019-06-26 01:36:22 UTC

For example Dell here is a good company to work for.

2019-06-26 02:16:52 UTC

dell used to be a good company to work for in ireland until they moved their europe operations out to poland

2019-06-26 02:17:00 UTC

which was ironic because at the exact time they did it

2019-06-26 02:17:11 UTC

was when polish people were moving to ireland like crazy

2019-06-26 02:17:32 UTC

also chances are if you had a mac from the 80s to the mid to late 90s it was made in Ireland

2019-06-26 02:17:47 UTC

ireland is somewhat of a tax haven

2019-06-26 02:18:02 UTC

facebook, twitter, google and apple are all there for tax reasons

2019-06-26 02:18:05 UTC

they pay fuck all

2019-06-26 02:18:20 UTC

riot games are there too

2019-06-26 02:18:22 UTC

fun fact

2019-06-26 02:27:52 UTC

@i dunno how would i go about getting a contract position for a base? i have no college degree and nothing about me stands out

2019-06-26 02:36:15 UTC

The only thing they are looking for IT is experience and youre required to pass comptia security+ exam within 6 months

2019-06-26 02:38:33 UTC

If you're interested I can find where they are posting their contract positions at. But generally contactors don't get relocation paid so you'd have to get here yourself.

2019-06-26 02:39:22 UTC

You'd enter on a tourist visa and when you get on base they stamp you with a SOFA stamp.

2019-06-26 02:39:57 UTC

A lot of people I know got those jobs while they were hanging out here as a tourist too

2019-06-26 03:11:21 UTC

@Eris HOLY SHIT, so theres a ling who killed 60% of the station (violent grab stuns you so he chopped our heads off instantly, 1v1 a ling is impossible) so they sent an ERT team.... the link literally killed 5 ERT soldiers at once by stun batonning them LMFAO, centom sent a message calling them embarassing apes

2019-06-26 03:23:43 UTC

HAHAHAHA, and the lings got on the escape ship so centcom spawned all the ghosts as a syndie drone on centcom recovery ship, and one of the drones dropped a ton of bombs and blew centcom up, so none of the lings won because they didnt "escape" (cant evac when the evac point is gone <:Think1:338382764154028042> )
