It changes over time
The terms change over time is my point
see now that was a comment that i agree with @Aldomuz
it's literally just a pointless descriptor, we could call them bungaloos for all we want
So the bungaloos are 77% socialist
no people are attempting to change the definition for their gain
but those who actually know the roots of these terms and human history
we see right through it.
And the majority of the Bungaloos are in support of socialist ideas, and the majority of their candidates are now socialist
Even the reasonable one's like Andrew Yang are completely fucking nuts
They lack an ounce of reason or common sense, so far go in to their own ideology they believe they can will things in to relaity
Free 12,000 dollars for everyone, it's insane
That's the most reasonable peopel on the left
its not useless if we go back to what it really means. its only made useless by those trying to warp its meaning and definition
I mean, the Bungaloos
but like i said those who know the historical context and etc
see through that
And the Bungaloos are gaining power
Historical context is just the french
nobody uses the original defintion it's expanded beyond that obviously
and its failing lol
As I will say, the "not bound by traditional or political alignments" is the "open mindedness". So you agreed with me from the beginning. Though I will admit it was not clear enough as it seems.
And the French revolution lead to Napolean taking over and murdering thousands of people so if that's liberalism then it's awful anyways
and actually pushing people to the right
funnily enough
So if we are going by original defintions then liberals are mass murderers who want to kill the elites?
Basically are socialists?
who put another dictator in charge
yea fundamentally either that
or they want freedom that eventually leads to societal collapse
the lack of order.
well the irony is a lack of authority tends to lead to more authoritorianism as power vaccumes tend to lead to someone more powerful taking over
So I guess it all goes around in a circle
But nonetheless my point is, the terms are used in nebelous ways
I'm not really concerned as I'm not that invested in names
yeah its intrinsically linked and there are cycles that we can observe through history
before the collapse of Rome they went a lot more liberal. Liberalism allows the festering of more radical elements.
If by some weird version of history Republicans were called Democrats and Democrats Republicans, as this could have happened for example with the original group being called Democratic-Republicans, the "sides" would in effect still be the same
A rose by any other name is just as thorny
