Customs and Border protection is all we need

2019-12-07 06:23:26 UTC

ICE is Unconstitutional; many courts have ruled that they have repeatedly broken the 4th (Surveillance), 5th (Due Process), 13th (Slavery), and 14th (Due Process Equality) Amendments of the United States Constitution

2019-12-07 06:23:43 UTC

Hell, they were only created in 2003 by the Bush Administration too

2019-12-07 06:24:02 UTC

So what's your proposal for an alternative enforcement for those that evade Customs and Border protection?

2019-12-07 06:24:06 UTC

They have absolutely no reason to exist and are already a mess of unconstitutional actions

2019-12-07 06:24:26 UTC

Just let Customs and Border Protection take all the stuff, like they used to

2019-12-07 06:24:40 UTC

They don't have Federal juristiction

2019-12-07 06:24:59 UTC

ICE is so unnecessary that the majority of it is made up of Private Militias and Mercenaries, anyways

2019-12-07 06:25:42 UTC

Fair point. In fact, I'll agree that ICE has committed egregious violations already cited and is comprised of alot of unstable and ill-intentioned individuals

2019-12-07 06:26:11 UTC

However, ICE is the only agency with the authority to perform deportations. States have already demonstrated indifference, ineptitude, and incompetence in enforcing deportation.

2019-12-07 06:26:35 UTC

Customs and Borders will do little to remove those who enter illegally.

2019-12-07 06:26:45 UTC

Let alone those who overstay Visas

2019-12-07 06:27:43 UTC

The majority of people detained are done so without a fair trial and are forcefully detained (which is a situation just waiting to be abused, lol)

2019-12-07 06:28:33 UTC

You're right. And this is the problem. There's Republicans who care only for deportation, and Democrats who propose removing due process entirely.

2019-12-07 06:28:50 UTC

We need actual reform to expeditiously allow those seeking to become citizens entry into our nation

2019-12-07 06:28:56 UTC

Yeah, I agree

2019-12-07 06:29:09 UTC

Though I think we should go further with Immigration reform

2019-12-07 06:29:25 UTC

And I think the first thing to do is to Decriminalise All Drugs and Legalise Marijuana

2019-12-07 06:29:32 UTC

That will absolutely fuck up the Cartels

2019-12-07 06:29:36 UTC

And Big Pharma

2019-12-07 06:29:57 UTC

Not all drugs. Some will reap havoc on major cities, like heroin as witnessed by Iran-Contra.

2019-12-07 06:30:14 UTC

Marijuana - absolutely. It's a boon to state income tax and boosts countless medical benefits

2019-12-07 06:31:01 UTC

While I'm disappointed by the Republicans inability to positively reform immigration, I can't back any of the Democratic candidates that seek to destroy the entire concept of citizenship.

2019-12-07 06:31:09 UTC

I didn't say legalise; I said decriminalise, lol. There are some drugs that would reap havoc if legalised (like Fentanyl) which is why decriminalising would just turn it from a Criminal issue to a Health Issue

2019-12-07 06:31:18 UTC

Fair point.

2019-12-07 06:32:02 UTC

I could absolutely agree with decriminalizing users. Dealers with x amount of Class I should be criminal offenses.

2019-12-07 06:32:31 UTC

People are gonna do drugs, regardless, so it's better to mediate the issue by giving them safe monitored areas where they can inject themselves; thus bringing overdoses to near 0 and will absolutely cripple the Cartels who currently profit off of them

2019-12-07 06:33:10 UTC

Not necessarily - Cartels would still immensely profit from the sale of those drugs.

2019-12-07 06:33:31 UTC

A "Safe Area" as demonstrated in California absolutely saves lives. However, it encourages use for those already addicted by removing consequence.

2019-12-07 06:33:47 UTC

Rehabilitation centers with state funding seems like a no-brainer.

2019-12-07 06:34:02 UTC

That too

2019-12-07 06:34:45 UTC

The Cartels rn have a Monopoly. Which is why we should Legalise, Tax, and Regulate most Drugs

2019-12-07 06:34:53 UTC

Decriminalise the rest

2019-12-07 06:35:34 UTC

Precisely. Biden's position on Marijuana being a gateway drug was a flashback to the Nixon era. No other Democratic candidates have made strong or compelling arguments other than "Medicare-for-All"

2019-12-07 06:37:31 UTC

Well, only Bernie has been pushing for M4A; but it's actually ridiculously easy to argue for a Single/Multi-Payer System since we have examples of it being a benefit in every other Country (besides the UK tho the NHS used to be the Best Health Care System before Tony Blair and David Cameron raped it to death)

2019-12-07 06:38:43 UTC

Warren has also picked up that torch, fiercely advocating for M4A. Nationalizing healthcare seems fatally flawed by the current price gouging in the system. That needs to be corrected before such a proposal could even occur.

2019-12-07 06:39:13 UTC

Besides, it would just be the ACA Pt. 2 - If you don't have a mandatory buy-in, the system can't sustain without govt funding, similar to the current NHS crisis.

2019-12-07 06:39:26 UTC

I feel like Warren fucked up by having a Public Option be her first priority before M4A.

2019-12-07 06:39:41 UTC

Cuz ever since she mentioned that, she's been tanking in the polls

2019-12-07 06:40:03 UTC

And now the Booty Judge (Democrat's Marco Rubio) is rising up for some reason
