Is there corroborating evidence about this Quid Pro Quo from 3rd parties, or is this some Kavanagh type shit? @PurpleToad

2019-12-08 06:29:17 UTC

Simple fact is Obamas economy sucked and the recession was not solely to blame.

2019-12-08 06:29:43 UTC

No. There is no direct evidence. Proving motivation is nearly impossible.

2019-12-08 06:30:02 UTC

All evidence beyond the transcript has been second, third, or fourth hand accounts.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/11/08/impeachment-testimony-5-takeaways-fiona-hill-transcript/2530101001/
`n early November, Fiona Hill testified that Sondland, as a newcomer unaccustomed to diplomatic protocols, exhibited behavior that was "comical" but "deeply concerning," and his lack of adherence to security protocols made him a "counterintelligence risk." Hill testified that in July, Sondland attended a meeting with Ukrainian officials and told them that an Oval Office meeting with Trump would occur if investigations began.`
Some weird-ass shit on his end, NGL

2019-12-08 06:30:55 UTC

Fiona Hills testimony offered no direct evidence, period.

2019-12-08 06:31:37 UTC

Pure conjecture and opinion.

2019-12-08 06:31:45 UTC

reagan admin also had a similar pattern of deficit spending when you account for the drop in demand from credit that comes from private sector deleveraging https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/653120961176010788/653121007451897858/usademandfromcredit1.png?width=365&height=300

2019-12-08 06:31:53 UTC

whoops wrong picture

2019-12-08 06:31:55 UTC

`Appearing in a closed-door inquiry on November 15, in a written opening statement Holmes said he heard Trump ask, "So, he's gonna do the investigation?" and Sondland replied, "he's gonna do it" adding Zelensky will do "anything you ask him to." Holmes also testified that Sondland later told him that Trump "did not give a shit about Ukraine" and "only cared about the big stuff ... the big stuff that benefits the president like the Biden investigation that Mr. Giuliani was pushing."`
So the most evidence that Trump is doing skeevy shit with Giuliani for the Biden Investigation is.....anecdotal?

This is super surreal trying to keep track of current conversation while you all are chattering about something else

2019-12-08 06:31:57 UTC

Well damn

2019-12-08 06:32:00 UTC

color me unimpressed

2019-12-08 06:32:56 UTC

Whats the citation on those two graphs?

2019-12-08 06:33:40 UTC
2019-12-08 06:36:55 UTC

Alright, so the most recent was in fact the worst between the two, however it wasnt the great depression its recovery is still the slowest since that time, and this tends to be the thing with democratic administrations their policies arent good for growth

2019-12-08 06:37:30 UTC

FDR dragged out the depression hears longer than it needed to go on WW2 is what really got us out of it

2019-12-08 06:37:48 UTC

Obama did the same largely speaking just not to the same extent

2019-12-08 06:37:49 UTC

i think the fdr thing is complicated

2019-12-08 06:38:02 UTC

there are a lot of different interpretation of how exactly his policies impacted the depression

2019-12-08 06:38:48 UTC

i mean i think that overall his policies were probably helping until 1936 when the fdr admin introduced austerity measures which caused the recession to double dip

2019-12-08 06:40:03 UTC

Sadly I cannot actually link that Cato PDF

2019-12-08 06:40:39 UTC

But all credible economists I can think of and anu honest analyst will yell you that FDR prolonged the Depression

2019-12-08 06:40:56 UTC

i'm not sure what credible means here

2019-12-08 06:40:58 UTC

Social security is one of our single greatest failures from that era

2019-12-08 06:41:07 UTC

if you're talking about the thing i think you're talking about

2019-12-08 06:41:13 UTC

No. I will not stoop to the Democrats level and support removing anyone for unsubstantiated accusations.

2019-12-08 06:41:21 UTC

i mean, this is starting to go above my pay grade so to speak

2019-12-08 06:41:56 UTC

but they were working off of the assumption of general equilibrium in a depression which is a situation that is characterized by strong disequilibrium in the market

2019-12-08 06:42:24 UTC

@Mersenne I'm not assuming he did it, because the rumors are simply rumors, but big if true

2019-12-08 06:43:10 UTC

granted i do think certain policies of fdr probably hurt

2019-12-08 06:43:20 UTC

i mean... if were going there

2019-12-08 06:43:28 UTC

i would just be inclined to think that at least before 1936 they were a net positive overall

2019-12-08 06:43:28 UTC

trump has what 25 accusers?

2019-12-08 06:43:30 UTC

lmao

2019-12-08 06:43:36 UTC

Meh, if they’re willing to investigate Trump for x3 years, but fail to even call Biden as a witness, the bias speaks for itself.
