a fuckin disgrace, our duopoly system

2019-12-14 21:17:24 UTC

@Jokerfaic this is why it would be really helpful to have a strong 3rd party in the US

2019-12-14 21:17:39 UTC

It would help keep the major parties in line

2019-12-14 21:17:46 UTC

we need our own purple party

2019-12-14 21:17:50 UTC

a ukip of the us

2019-12-14 21:17:55 UTC

usip

2019-12-14 21:17:56 UTC

Yes, agreed

2019-12-14 21:18:10 UTC

confront superfluous foreign entanglements

2019-12-14 21:18:28 UTC

focus on domestic policy as a primary activity

2019-12-14 21:18:38 UTC

And the continuous bloating of the federal government

2019-12-14 21:19:52 UTC

does every state have its own lottery, like Oregon's?

2019-12-14 21:20:07 UTC

No, it's not legal in every state

2019-12-14 21:20:17 UTC

mihgt look into addressing that

2019-12-14 21:20:56 UTC

state level revenue source, and cut federal spending sources could be used for a small stipend added to each pool

2019-12-14 21:22:12 UTC

There are definitely some ways the states could raise more money, but I personally think cuts on the spending side would help more

2019-12-14 21:22:42 UTC

well sure, but few measures don't attempt to hit a hundred birds with one stone anyway

2019-12-14 21:22:59 UTC

Yeah

2019-12-14 21:23:45 UTC

I forget who I was talking to about it, but this new party would need to address abondoned industiral hubs in the center of the nation

2019-12-14 21:24:05 UTC

That's actually a failing of the Legislature, though. Bills should be concise and narrowly focused

2019-12-14 21:24:25 UTC

the way he was talking about it, basically scrapping the equipment there and refitting the facilities with new purpose-built machinery seems best

2019-12-14 21:25:39 UTC

What would help with heartland issues would be to decrease centralized control, both federally and in state capitols

2019-12-14 21:27:20 UTC

Larry Sharpe had a really good manifesto on this kind of thing in 2018, when he was running for NY governor

2019-12-14 21:51:41 UTC

Lyndon LeRoche wanted to abolish the federal reserve

2019-12-14 21:52:02 UTC

might also help

2019-12-14 21:52:54 UTC

but then Bush and republicans essentially put him under house arrest during both his presidential runs, and branded him a "socialist" out of absolutely nowhere

2019-12-14 21:53:01 UTC

and now that's all you'll find on his wikipedia

2019-12-14 21:53:39 UTC

that he's a socialist or some bullshit, that he studied marx, and that he was, by their explicit instruction, branded a "political extremist"

2019-12-14 21:54:38 UTC

don't for a fucking instant think Democrats are the only party that operates with some sketch as fuck methods

2019-12-14 21:55:59 UTC

and this habit of branding literally anything and everything Republicans don't like as 'socialism' is directly related to the massive rise of socialism-interested youths

2019-12-14 22:37:58 UTC

Leftist/Socialists are complete loons

2019-12-14 22:38:29 UTC

They're beyond help at this point

2019-12-14 22:49:37 UTC

"Lyndon Hermyle LaRouche Jr. (September 8, 1922 – February 12, 2019) was an American political activist, convicted fraudster, cult leader, and founder of the LaRouche movement, whose main organization was the National Caucus of Labor Committees (NCLC)"

2019-12-14 22:58:09 UTC

Maybe it was the fact that LeRouche was a member of the American Labour party that preached marxist revolution in the 1970s

2019-12-14 22:58:42 UTC

Also convicted fraudster and cult leader as mentioned above, he was a socialist political chameleon

2019-12-14 22:59:04 UTC

Trying to imply he was anything but that is laughably uneducated.

2019-12-14 23:05:48 UTC

@Jokerfaic no, what has led to a rise in socialism (which is really just a dogwhistle for transferism) interested youths , is the entire, sharing is caring, mentality we teach kids. Dont send your kids to school with candy or special treats, other kids might feel left out. If you bring snacks bring enough for everyone. Everyone gets a trophy, everything must be fair. We've bread a generation of weaklings (millennials) who cant fend for themselves, who seem to think they shouldnt have to pay back money they voluntarily borrowed. People who think they are entitled to the services of others and that those services are a "human right".

2019-12-14 23:06:20 UTC

@everybodydothatdinosaur exactly, complete smear job

2019-12-14 23:06:31 UTC

none of that is accurate

2019-12-14 23:07:12 UTC

Except it is

2019-12-14 23:07:18 UTC

Unless you have a citation

2019-12-14 23:07:27 UTC

I dont know why im asking you never do
