San Francisco has a similar regulation problem. That's why people are renting out a top or bottom bunk bed for $1,200 a month, it gets around the restrictive property/rental regulations there that make housing stupid expensive while people shit in front of your house

some of the NY tolls are like $50 for a truck, might not be quite that bad but it is alot.

we used to ride motorcycles back and forth from michigan to new york, taking the scenic canadian route. it was instantly different quality of riding when we crossed the border back into the usa into one of those areas.

Mass is kinda like that as well, you leave NH and the road is crap unless it is fresh pavement.

there is one bridge on I495 that just feels like the road stops.

meanwhile NH has a 4 lane super highway for just a few miles, a single toll that is a reasonable price for all cars and trucks.

i get annoyed at seeing new roadwork being done in michigan. im not an engineer, but if fucking know that having low spots in the the wrong places on a road is going to make water pool, and freeze and destroy the road in those spots. i see that all of the time here. it's like COMON GUYS, USE A LEVEL TO CHECK SHIT. (buy hey, i guess they're generating more working hours in the future for themselves fixing shit so it pays off)
