Your assessment seems to be based on assumption.
The GOP are the ones using impeachment in their ads, pushing it as hard as possible, while Democrats have been avoiding it.
And the Dems sold the need to rush for the vote because it was "urgent." Prolonging the process isn't the sign of urgency.
sure less gets done, which is a problem, but at the same time that will generate even less public interest in the democrats case, although i've noticed the news on impeachment lessening lately
