ok fine, you want to tax the rich at higher rates though.

why not just have a simple flat income tax rate? say 15% no deductions.

in general i would say tax systems should be progressive

amazon pays piles of taxes, they just don't pay "this one tax"

They get around taxes

amazon has trucks, they pay taxes.

they have buildings, they pay taxes.

they have taxes they pay to employ people.

heck, if you though you pay alot in taxes for your car, try a transport truck.

also in an ideal system i think income taxes could maybe be abolished in favor of consumption taxes, property taxes, and revenue gained from state owned enterprise

Its a complicated question. I'm not a fan of taxes. But corporations tend to be able to get out of them. What should a tally hapoen.is an incentive to invest where the money is needed

I'm not a huge fan of either of the main options because I don't think the government or nassive corporations will use the money well

but do you understand that "corporations" don't even really pay the taxes they pay on paper? they HAVE to pass that cost on to the consumer, it's part of busness.
