Officially, PAC’s are Advocacy groups that back candidates that align with their message, whether it be Gun Control, Foreign Policy, or Healthcare

2020-02-04 18:14:33 UTC

Unofficially, they are Money Laundering Ops that rig the elections

2020-02-04 18:14:49 UTC

The most egregious one imo being AIPAC

2020-02-04 18:15:28 UTC

AIPAC is literally foreign interference; they back candidates that Support and will pass legislation that benefits Israel

2020-02-04 18:15:47 UTC

And they are Open about it; but you can’t criticize because of the 6 Gorillian

2020-02-04 18:17:42 UTC

Another big one is the Pharmaceutical one, they want favorable legislation that allows them to make a fortune swindling sick people and send Kickbacks to Reps and Senators that help make it possible

2020-02-04 18:19:45 UTC

Hmmmm 🤔

2020-02-04 18:22:19 UTC

So PAC's are just money sources for political campaings?

2020-02-04 18:25:14 UTC

And the deal with super delecates is quite intresting, just leverage for estabishment to use their favour I guess?
As in 2016, I heard.

2020-02-04 18:25:29 UTC

you heard correctly

2020-02-04 18:25:48 UTC

Pete's gay?

2020-02-04 18:25:53 UTC

huh

2020-02-04 18:26:03 UTC

good for him I guess

2020-02-04 18:26:31 UTC

waitaminute, a gay democrat has been running for this long without playing the homophobia card?

2020-02-04 18:26:42 UTC
2020-02-04 18:26:51 UTC

that's.... respectable

2020-02-04 18:27:18 UTC

Pete has not been yelling everyone with rainbow flags, I have to respect him for that.

2020-02-04 18:27:28 UTC

Before Herman Cain withdrew, the plan was for me to head his super PAC as he ran for President. Yes, PACs are soecial interest groups used to funnel money around the donation limits on individual contributions to candidates.

2020-02-04 18:28:06 UTC

@TTJK107 He just replaces it by constantly using religion as a club and at the same time preaching about how Jesus has no party.

2020-02-04 18:28:07 UTC

thanks, Citizens United

2020-02-04 18:28:29 UTC

You can donate an unlimited amount to a pac, but can only donate $5200 to a candidate directly

2020-02-04 18:30:10 UTC

Oh fuking hell...

2020-02-04 18:30:43 UTC

Citizens United was ruled because labor unions were getting around the rules.

2020-02-04 18:31:38 UTC

Instead of stopping their garbage, Citizens United came about to ‘balance’ things.

2020-02-04 18:32:14 UTC

Of course, both are now abusing to their hearts content

2020-02-04 18:33:38 UTC

I didn’t much like things Chuck Hagel did as a senator, especially when he defected to Obama, but his idea to fix campaigns I agreed with.

2020-02-04 18:35:32 UTC

How many primary rounds does Democratic party have? Until someone is clear winner or every state?

2020-02-04 18:38:18 UTC

Each state has a primary or caucus, along with 7 territories on the Dem side.

2020-02-04 18:39:34 UTC

At the convention, a candidate has to have a plurality (1/2 delegates +1) to win the nomination.

2020-02-04 18:40:05 UTC

Problem is, on the Dem side, is the superdelegates.

2020-02-04 18:47:08 UTC

Novel idea... create our own platforms and let these leftist platforms pound dirt

2020-02-04 18:47:17 UTC

IIRC patreon is financially dying and begging for content creators to come back

2020-02-04 18:47:26 UTC

Get Woke, GO BROKE

2020-02-04 18:47:39 UTC

well there is a difference between spotify and a local family owned bakery
