Officially, PAC’s are Advocacy groups that back candidates that align with their message, whether it be Gun Control, Foreign Policy, or Healthcare
Unofficially, they are Money Laundering Ops that rig the elections
The most egregious one imo being AIPAC
AIPAC is literally foreign interference; they back candidates that Support and will pass legislation that benefits Israel
And they are Open about it; but you can’t criticize because of the 6 Gorillian
Another big one is the Pharmaceutical one, they want favorable legislation that allows them to make a fortune swindling sick people and send Kickbacks to Reps and Senators that help make it possible
Hmmmm 🤔
So PAC's are just money sources for political campaings?
And the deal with super delecates is quite intresting, just leverage for estabishment to use their favour I guess?
As in 2016, I heard.
you heard correctly
Pete's gay?
huh
good for him I guess
waitaminute, a gay democrat has been running for this long without playing the homophobia card?
https://twitter.com/CommissionerKY/status/1224749734327463936 The dems are imploding
that's.... respectable
Before Herman Cain withdrew, the plan was for me to head his super PAC as he ran for President. Yes, PACs are soecial interest groups used to funnel money around the donation limits on individual contributions to candidates.
@TTJK107 He just replaces it by constantly using religion as a club and at the same time preaching about how Jesus has no party.
thanks, Citizens United
You can donate an unlimited amount to a pac, but can only donate $5200 to a candidate directly
Oh fuking hell...
Citizens United was ruled because labor unions were getting around the rules.
Instead of stopping their garbage, Citizens United came about to ‘balance’ things.
Of course, both are now abusing to their hearts content
I didn’t much like things Chuck Hagel did as a senator, especially when he defected to Obama, but his idea to fix campaigns I agreed with.
How many primary rounds does Democratic party have? Until someone is clear winner or every state?
Each state has a primary or caucus, along with 7 territories on the Dem side.
At the convention, a candidate has to have a plurality (1/2 delegates +1) to win the nomination.
Problem is, on the Dem side, is the superdelegates.
Novel idea... create our own platforms and let these leftist platforms pound dirt
IIRC patreon is financially dying and begging for content creators to come back
Get Woke, GO BROKE
well there is a difference between spotify and a local family owned bakery
