Lol trump campaigned on universal healthcare, then cuts a trillion dollars

2020-02-11 20:44:55 UTC

??? um no he didn't

2020-02-11 20:45:09 UTC

he campaigned on not cutting medicare or social security

2020-02-11 20:45:14 UTC

“I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now,” -trump 2015

2020-02-11 20:45:21 UTC

i did like that hes supposedly putting out a bill that is making price transparency mandatory or somthing

2020-02-11 20:45:40 UTC

reading a book called the price we pay and its pissing me off

2020-02-11 20:46:09 UTC

without context that sounds like you're reading propaganda

2020-02-11 20:47:03 UTC

It's a direct quote, not sure how that's propaganda

2020-02-11 20:47:47 UTC

man gotta figure out how the internet works i suck at this

2020-02-11 20:48:56 UTC

no I mean the phrase "I'm reading a book and its pissing me off"

2020-02-11 20:49:50 UTC

its a book written by a doctor who went around and documented multiple cases of hospitals price gouging and predatorily suing low income patients

2020-02-11 20:50:26 UTC

havent gotten far enough to reach a conclusion yet but so far the book is making me angrier with every story

2020-02-11 20:51:35 UTC

how does a hospital sue a patient for anything but damage to persons or property?

2020-02-11 20:52:31 UTC

they sue the patient for purposefully bloated medical costs that no one making less than 6 figures could hope to pay on time

2020-02-11 20:53:08 UTC

So they sue the patients that can't pay their hospital bills?

2020-02-11 20:53:13 UTC

and half the time the hospital would get the suit passed and garnish wages without the person being aware until its too late

2020-02-11 20:53:49 UTC

@PurpleToad yeah, and the prices are arbitrarily raised and bloated with little to no transparency

2020-02-11 20:54:13 UTC

fucking hell florida chill

2020-02-11 20:54:27 UTC

Not surprising, its Florida

2020-02-11 21:03:12 UTC

Civil disobedience is an American right

2020-02-11 21:03:30 UTC

Aswell as the right to protest, idc what you believe in

2020-02-11 21:03:48 UTC

so is this another standing rock situation?

2020-02-11 21:06:43 UTC

Eehhh similar

2020-02-11 21:07:16 UTC

Not completely familiar about all that happened with standing rock

2020-02-11 21:07:21 UTC

Tbh

2020-02-11 21:07:58 UTC

not surprising, there was a huge media blackout on it pretty early on

2020-02-11 21:08:34 UTC

native americans were protesting against a pipeline and were pretty much assaulted to remove them.

2020-02-11 21:10:42 UTC

wow, what is wrong with people, and I can't belive that i'm being forced to be on the same side as people who are protesting a pipeline.

2020-02-11 21:11:22 UTC

all you gotta do is charge them with tresspassing if they are in the way of your building.

2020-02-11 21:27:12 UTC

>The Federal Government is Assaulting the Injuns again

2020-02-11 21:27:25 UTC

History repeats itself

2020-02-11 21:34:37 UTC
2020-02-11 21:35:28 UTC

so is he gonna be charged with a hate crime?

2020-02-11 21:37:30 UTC

Well speech is a protected right. Civil disobedience can easily be a crime and often includes trespassing and vandalism. In this case trespassing on energy facilities. Trespassing by Greens who, by the way, like to practice industrial sabotage.

And, not to put to fine a point on it we require a lot of safety training and certification before we let people work with things like million gallon tanks of volatile petrochemicals. And do not allow unqualified individuals to go around turning valves. This is from a general aversion to *huge fucking explosions*.
