@kaolbrec the thing about star trek is its not comminism because there is still private propery

2020-01-05 11:40:10 UTC

Yeah I remember that being mentioned in the Starship Troopers video

2020-01-05 11:40:10 UTC

@kaolbrec not an in dept point lmao, elaborate and also i don't see `What are you left with after that point though? Everyone goes home and remembers to live in accordance with Communist tenets? No one misbehaves and starts being a secret capitalist?` as a strong point and is flawed bc communism is done by the proleteriat which makes up the majority of the people even rebelling, are you trying to say they don't even believe what they are fighting for? Also like most things society will decide what is right and wrong, so i guess anti-societal behaviour will be weeded out.

2020-01-05 11:40:11 UTC

Communism would still fail without a hive mind

2020-01-05 11:40:41 UTC

its not like a form of communism doesn't have some private property lmao

2020-01-05 11:41:01 UTC

@xlD4NKlx and what if its a 51/49 split?

2020-01-05 11:41:18 UTC

No, some make the effort at the illusion of private property

2020-01-05 11:41:23 UTC

are the 51% going to opress the 49?

2020-01-05 11:41:26 UTC

Everything is state property

2020-01-05 11:41:54 UTC

sure but you are just giving out niche theoretical scenarios and also i guess the communists will have their own state and repel all the people who don't believe in their cause and also try to convince them @brett0007wastaken

2020-01-05 11:42:10 UTC

right @randomNPCno3 well in america this is less so but sure, generally this is an inductive point

2020-01-05 11:42:49 UTC

@xlD4NKlx I would say that the temptation to hoard resources after the "revolution" is going to be very strong. Does a Communist system want a central authority as a general rule, or does it prefer to say that each individual will simply self-police and live in accordance with the ideology? I don't actually know, I've not delved very far into it.

2020-01-05 11:43:42 UTC

communism is stateless, with everyone in a primus inter pares style worker commities

2020-01-05 11:44:03 UTC

well greediness imo is anti-society and would probably be again, weeded out as i said by society. I see it more as a anomally with a few greedy fucks doing this, and this is evident by a few of the elite holding the most money. Also im not communist and the communists themselves have many different propostions to solve these issues @kaolbrec

2020-01-05 11:44:15 UTC

or at least in its classical form

2020-01-05 11:44:20 UTC

Communism operates pretty similarly to a theocracy

2020-01-05 11:44:33 UTC

Thanks for the answers, explains why I've seen so many Anarcho-Communists

2020-01-05 11:45:02 UTC

im not anarcho communist BTW!! but i keep an open mind and can sorta empathise with them

2020-01-05 11:45:10 UTC

Well, dumb enough to support one bad idea. Y not more?

2020-01-05 11:45:36 UTC

@xlD4NKlx greed is an inherent part of being human, you cant weed it out any more than you can any other aspect of natural behavior

2020-01-05 11:45:38 UTC

idk man it gets tiring responding all the time to stuff 💤

2020-01-05 11:45:50 UTC

@xlD4NKlx not saying to you, just ancom in general

2020-01-05 11:46:01 UTC

I didn't mean to imply you were, I've wondered in the past why they held those positions and I assumed they were incompatible, which it sounds like they are when considering Communism as we've seen it so far, but not when only considering theory.

2020-01-05 11:46:08 UTC

okay well this is an axiom, and sure but as i said i see it more as an anomally and shouldn't be stated as normal human behaviour imo @brett0007wastaken

2020-01-05 11:46:15 UTC

yeah yeah its fine dw lol

2020-01-05 11:46:34 UTC

The shit about Plato's forms seems more and more relevant.

2020-01-05 11:46:55 UTC

how so? and whilst ur typing it im gonna do some multi tasking

2020-01-05 11:47:23 UTC

About an "ideal form" or "perfect version" of something which exists only in theory. In this case, Communism.

2020-01-05 11:47:30 UTC

Technically ancom could work if you regress society back to small towns of maybe 100 people

2020-01-05 11:48:33 UTC

@xlD4NKlx except geed fundamentally is, the asshole apeman on the savannah that can horde the most resorces is the one most lighly to survive, greed is an inherent positive trait an animal because survival above all else is the game

2020-01-05 11:48:41 UTC

Possibly, you might also need to be very far away from any other towns.

2020-01-05 11:48:51 UTC

That too

2020-01-05 11:49:45 UTC

I wonder too how much the regulation of that kind of community owes to everyone believing in a higher power who'll judge them for their misdeeds.

2020-01-05 11:50:05 UTC

Basically, too many people in the world for communism to be viable anymore

2020-01-05 11:50:18 UTC

That's why it always ends in genocide

2020-01-05 11:51:49 UTC

And a higher power is needed, that's why it seems to operate like a theocracy

2020-01-05 11:52:10 UTC

State=church

2020-01-05 11:53:07 UTC

@randomNPCno3 it ends in genocide because the autistic fuck in power rees at the fact that his perfect system in there head isnt working and because they are autistic they naturally blames everything under the sun but themselves

2020-01-05 11:53:28 UTC

That too

2020-01-05 11:53:41 UTC

It fails for allot of reasons

2020-01-05 11:53:59 UTC

Not exactly a hard ideology to pick apart
