Newest FE was a financial success, so they wanted to cross-promote. sadly the actual interesting characters(that are not just another sword-guy) would put them into the situation that they would have to put in 3 more fe characters(namely the prized students of griffendor, slytherin und ravenclaw) instead of one. I would have liked to see the outrage over that

my personal opinion: it's ok, definitely better then Awakening and fates(haven't played echos so can not comment here).
