update on the shithole that is the philippines, recently our president started wanting to take down media networks critical of him, then wanting to kick out the americans and now the philippine police is cracking down on ""'fake news""" regarding the corona virus. at first it seems okay since the examples the put out are those shitty alt med posts like "you can cure it if you use x natural oil" but seeing as the government is quite eager in pleasing the chinese government this might end up as another way to quell info getting out. especially since the first death of the virus outside china happened here
