I guess that's why you dont understand how stylization works
No, I understand it. But until VR has the capacity to simulate things properly instead of faking it, we must fake realistics too.
What?
If you mix grimdark with a fluffy bunny, the bunny either ends up evil or as a 'cinamon roll' that needs protected.
ooh this one looks neat
You realize
Which means trimming the fat on skin textures, hair dynamics etc as they're generally not visible in VR.
That VR has to fake a fake
vr is the way forward
You won't be seeing those for a while.
So it would still be faking it even if many of the vr specific faking is fixed
If you don't have these outcomes, it defaults to evil.
There's no point in faking it. It's too much computation for little effort for something that will never be seen.
VR is literally no different than regular games outside of inputs
So VR realism can't be contrasted toward regular realism, as it's a cut and stick of what it actually means.
That's it
There's a bit more to it than that.
Anything else is just the game being tailored towards that setup
Calling VR a "Box Screen strapped to the face" is like calling a Dreadnaught a "Tugboat."
I don't want VR
I want an overlay AR instead
No
PAPA DORN
And I wish games would support motion controls without VR
VR is just a detriment imo

@SideTracker
You mean Bob the builder
@Papa John's Day of Reckoning is there something you dont understand?
@Supreme Grand Master Janus i mean Tom The Tinker
The intricacies of getting human eyes and stabilization to cooperate with simulated virtual environments on non-standard locomotion is enough to where even fucking explaining it sounds like a dissertation paper.
