Or something similar ubisoft has done

2018-04-17 14:40:07 UTC

Or is that EA?

2018-04-17 14:41:08 UTC

ea

2018-04-17 14:41:28 UTC

Ubisoft is just as bad however

2018-04-17 14:41:38 UTC

Just checked, there's apparently just made articles about how they've stated they "learned from the mistake that was battlefront 2"

2018-04-17 14:42:15 UTC

Rainbow Six Siege has this season pass bull shit my friends have spent over 200$ on that game

2018-04-17 14:42:24 UTC

Jesus

2018-04-17 14:42:31 UTC

tbqh both original battlefront 2 and battlefield 2 was the peak of gaming, you could host your own servers, there was pretty damn good modding

2018-04-17 14:42:46 UTC

You could have the ridiculous 64v64 matches

2018-04-17 14:42:57 UTC

yeah i agree there was a 5 year or so period there where it was all gold

2018-04-17 14:43:09 UTC

battlefield 3 had its moments too

2018-04-17 14:43:11 UTC

starting from like cs 1.6 and ending with tf2

2018-04-17 14:43:28 UTC

That's pretty accurate

2018-04-17 14:43:35 UTC

Lotta good games in that time frame were solid Juul

2018-04-17 14:43:58 UTC

I miss buying a game and just playing it, no updates, no passes, you get it all

2018-04-17 14:44:06 UTC

I didn't play battlefield 3 too much tbh, I've seen some hillarious clips from shit you could do but I don't like a game where I can't just play me with bots

2018-04-17 14:44:10 UTC

my pc couldn't run battlefield 2 so i would go to the local LAN center and play with the ppl there all day

2018-04-17 14:44:13 UTC

it was so fucking good

2018-04-17 14:44:32 UTC

Damn, I miss those places

2018-04-17 14:44:43 UTC

I never fully enjoyed battlefield 2

2018-04-17 14:44:47 UTC

I remember I played CoD MW the first time in one

2018-04-17 14:45:05 UTC

I think battlefield 2 is my most played game, I still play it sometimes. Just with the AIX 2 mod.

2018-04-17 14:45:11 UTC

I didn't even know about local LAN centers

2018-04-17 14:45:28 UTC

we had an ok one but it was mismanaged to hell

2018-04-17 14:45:37 UTC

probably could have stayed open a few more years than it did

2018-04-17 14:45:57 UTC

We had places in malls that had xbox 360s and you could play for 2 hours for 5$

2018-04-17 14:46:08 UTC

there's probably a viable business model for something like a LAN center but idk

2018-04-17 14:46:13 UTC

it probably wouldn't look like they used to

2018-04-17 14:46:31 UTC

There's still a ton of those in "poorer" countries

2018-04-17 14:46:37 UTC

right

2018-04-17 14:47:35 UTC

maybe something specifically aimed at people that wanna play with their friends in the same room and not just randos that need a computer/internet access

2018-04-17 14:48:03 UTC

I think the best would be to have some spots like that but also just rooms that you could rent for smaller lans

2018-04-17 14:48:04 UTC

higher pricing schedule but also more amenities

2018-04-17 14:48:10 UTC

where people would bring their own tech

2018-04-17 14:48:19 UTC

Bringing your own tech blows

2018-04-17 14:48:47 UTC

maybe something like esports-centered

2018-04-17 14:49:03 UTC

get all the latest greatest F2P esports games and lots of amenities and complimentary shit

2018-04-17 14:49:08 UTC

Yeah but if I could chose between having a lan party at someones place where you put 6 pc on a dinner table and a place that's dedicated for it I'd probably chose the latter one

2018-04-17 14:49:10 UTC

ppl just log into their own accounts

2018-04-17 14:49:18 UTC

I mean your standard crummy LAN party has its charm but still

2018-04-17 14:49:31 UTC

Dinner table lans were cool
