you ever go through one of those threads full of vids and webms of bullying/people being attacked, and just, feel your faith in people slip away <:piss:425575414405267456>
I’ve seen all that firsthand
And yeah
it's so fucked, man
sure, we know that we're all just animals, operating under animalistic instincts and drives, but to actually see people, in groups, violently attacking a weaker person, just to feel dominant, and improve their social standing, without remorse?
always hurts for me, no matter how cynical and hardened I get over the years
it's amazing people happily drop their humanity so low
what's up hue haven't seen hue in a while

@Deleted User Kind of similar to how primates act
Similar to how most species with group based hierarchies work, yea
It's a brutal world
Bloody tragic that humans cannot overcome that mode of being
Why is it that amazing @Deleted User ? Mental illness is pervasive.
don't keep us in suspense @Deleted User
I find it amazing, bewildering, terrifying, that, that is human nature. That most of us would happily destroy eachother, to get ahead, I find it gross, understanding it can't completely mitigate how repulsive it is to see such things happen, you know?
please be patient I'm autistic :'(
evolutionary biology amirite
How is it human nature? Its mental illness.
I mean, you're referring to 4chan right?
Not exactly the picture of human perfection...
...***excuse me?***
I disagree. If it weren't for the social contract, most people would happily engage in this behaviour, I think.
I'm referring to 'bullies', you know, violent people who prey on those weaker than them for shallow, selfish reasons.
Nothing against 4chan really lol
No, I think you're being too sensitive. You better be glad you get a window into the netherworld of humanity. I certainly cherish the various times I've had web conversations with criminals and murderers. Far worse is it when those people are hidden from society, left freely to do their deeds without an eye noticing.
Most people are conflicted within themselves, which is far different than pure terrorism that you witness online.
Most people struggle. And that's a very good thing.
^Good image. Watch out for the super nice people.
for the record, whites are not particularly murderous
Or maybe they're better at hiding their tracks...
nope
haha
touche!
Of course I'm glad, I wouldn't be seeking out and exposing myself to those 'windows', if I wasn't. I often communicate with questionable or downright bad people, I'm no saint myself, all I was saying was, it hurts to watch helpless people be attacked and dominated, y'know? <:jbp:425131832389009408>
Yes, but I wonder why it hurts you. You seem to emphasize losing hope in humanity, and I simply wonder if that's the true reason it hurts.
Ah. I'm not sure, really. I assumed it was an uncomfortable thing for most to witness, no? Maybe it only affects me because it takes me back to times I was in or around similar situations, in person.
