My dad had a custom made PC for 10 years (it still works) that he was able to keep upgrading to keep up with the times and then he "upgraded" to one of those 2000 dollar desktop macs and it's stopped working after 6 years

I had a macbook pro for a good 4-5 years and it wasn't bad it was just basic
I could do all my photos and online shit with ease but so many programs weren't compatible and virtually no games worked and the ones that were ported over were butchered
So why pay 1000 dollars for something that's just okay?

Mac is only worth it if you wanna use their programs like pro tools and Final Cut Pro
Used MacBooks are pretty repairable and often have tons of useful software. Fcpx is actually pretty good now.
But even then... it's not worth it
