I remember the Joker from Batman's main defining characteristic was his tendency to anally engulf people similar to an egg eating snake ingesting an egg. This "forte" of the Joker was unanimous across all Batman media he appeared in.
I vividly remember an episode of the classic Batman cartoon where Batman lets himself get engulfed in this manner by the Joker in order to rescue a friend who got engulfed at the beginning of the episode. Whilst inside the Joker's anus the scale was not realistic - in fact it mirrored the trope of being inside a whale, so to speak, and there was even a Jonah-analogue character inside the Joker's anus who had been there for about a century. I remember him being an old wise man with a beard. The implications of this episode were that The Joker was some sort of timeless entity that existed since the beginning of the universe - I remember Batman talking about this at the end of the episode.
It was about a year ago when I was rewatching the old Batman series I was weirded out that the Joker never displayed this trait. I checked the old cartoon, all the films featuring the Joker, and so on and could not find any reference to the Joker doing this. The famous scene where the Joker "vacuumed up" half of Gotham in The Dark Knight no longer existed!
Does anyone else remember the Joker doing this?
