I thought scientists knew that the sun was a liquid and not a gas, but apparently, all of modern astro-physics is based off of the sun being a gas... I'm no scientist, but TIL.

wip
loosely based off this
That's awesome
the 3d printer
The video posted by MIT is fake?
wouldnt be suprised
None of the comments suggest the video is fake
Someone did say that a normal printer with the right settings could print at those speeds
And I'm pretty sure that the best thing that printer has is a very sturdy frame
And the fact that the only video evidence is a very short, low quality video, of the printer making some random layers, instead of showing the beginning and a substantial part of the print is pretty suspicious
But again, maybe it's actually good and I'm just being a retard
The article essentially said that it's a normal printer with hot air being blown over the bed, and some extruder adjustments, as well as a unique filament.
Nah the filament is normal filament, but threaded before using it which is kinda stupid because it would increase the manufacturing cost of the filament a lot, for no benefit at all
And they don't blow any hot air, they use normal fan cooling that most printers use
They have something that pre heats the filament before melting it, Which uses lasers and quartZ, which is admittedly cool, but I'm not sure of what that improves over normal heating elements
🤷
Cute
Good boi
