you had the hands on stepper motors?
Not this one, but the same kind
i know what clocks with hands look like
can i see the motors you used?
@Durtle02 yep
There were 2 stepper motors and the mechanism to have them have the same center
Yep
Google canon stepper motor
Cuuute
Bought from AliExpress
No
Orrible
They are so fragile
They are so fragile
I bought 30, before I managed to solder ONE, I broke 7
But yeah, iper smol
But yeah, iper smol
But a clock needs at least 60 right
So I wrote from scratch all the code to control the microstepping, following radial coordinates etc
wonder if i can get servos this small
what am i supposed to use to attach motors to their component securely when they just have the spinning pin?
screw through the side of a housing around it?
Just kill you self
I was about to do just that lol
You can't get servos that small
But those are servos
Nojo
Those are steppers lol
So with a little programming you can use them just like servos
true

Mhh
This is not code that you should use, it was just a proof of concept, but you should get how things work. Maybe you are luky and there is a library for your board that manages steppers, and won't have to use this -intentionally- bad code. It won't compile because there are a couple missing files
i have some sample code for basic control of steppers
On right that's better
