Oh don't mind those

2018-11-10 16:29:21 UTC

Just look at the circuit those were notes

2018-11-10 16:29:33 UTC

It s a discontinued counter ic

2018-11-10 16:31:00 UTC

I didn't use shift registers becaus I wanted to get at least 60 reads on every button and Every board, or playing would be akward

2018-11-10 16:31:32 UTC

You can scale forever if it's a less intensive application, say a keyboard

2018-11-11 19:39:03 UTC

@Ondsinet grounding bypass and/or decoupling caps
ground to IC gnd pins or arduino gnd plane?
shortest path wins, or save the 4 hot IC gnd pinds from any extra stress?

2018-11-11 19:41:19 UTC

Connect to ic pins

2018-11-11 19:41:49 UTC

And they should all be connected together anyway

2018-11-11 19:42:01 UTC

It really wont matter in this case

2018-11-11 19:42:23 UTC

Also stress<:covfefe:440543908846632980>

2018-11-11 19:44:11 UTC

of course theyre all connected 😄

2018-11-11 19:44:34 UTC

thank you

2018-11-11 19:46:02 UTC

still no solder wick yet

2018-11-11 19:46:04 UTC

2018-11-11 19:47:50 UTC

The 4 grounds on that ic are there to allow it to sink more current

2018-11-11 19:48:40 UTC

And the datasheet says for heat dissipation so I guess you are supposed to leave a good blotch of solder to act as a makeshift dissipator

2018-11-11 19:48:58 UTC

A capacitor there won't cause any kind of stress

it says it wants some copper down there, or a grounded heatsink. mine's not getting that hot but im gonna up the voltage, and then later im gonna stack these bitches for the hell of it

2018-11-11 19:51:48 UTC

Found a photo of my l283d ic setup

2018-11-11 19:52:38 UTC

did you had to make your own breadboard?

2018-11-11 19:52:54 UTC

Did you had

2018-11-11 19:53:16 UTC

I just like to have things nice and clean

2018-11-11 19:53:30 UTC

Compare to your jumper jungle lol

2018-11-11 19:53:53 UTC

fuck if i noticed, my whole room looks like that

2018-11-11 19:54:28 UTC

in all seriousness i have used some extra wires to make some connections more accessible to pull out later

2018-11-11 19:55:07 UTC

theres a lotta ways to make a pasta

2018-11-11 19:55:33 UTC

That board has connectiona for:
2 motors
4 enstops
1 rgb led
2 buttons
1 RFID board

2018-11-11 19:55:46 UTC

And they all neatly plug in

2018-11-11 19:59:29 UTC

Btw we're gonna have tanks, boats and drones

2018-11-11 20:04:05 UTC

is that paint pen on the headers?

2018-11-11 20:04:42 UTC

Sharpie

2018-11-11 20:04:44 UTC

And gnd

2018-11-11 20:05:20 UTC

well that shows up nicely for a sharpie

2018-11-11 20:05:23 UTC

Needd to give instructions to unskilled workers that would have to assemble it later

2018-11-11 20:05:36 UTC
