Using Consumer reports or JD Power to buy a car is shit you shouldn't be doing under the age of 60
@sexytortoiseloverboy i dont view them as gospel.
The fact that they even still exist is insane
It's such a huge scheme
There is nothing wrong with using them as a single data point.
...
Okay not even arguing that one
You keep on thinking that
I mean it is
K
I only use jalopnik for buying vehicles
They do these "reports" and sell their brand to automotive companies
Ew jalopnik
jalopnik is the most reputable car sjte
site
Kidding. Dont actually care about them overmuch
but yeah, most ranking companies are about as trustworthy as credit rating agencies
jalopnik is independent though
According to consumer reports the Toyota 86 is the most reliable new car you can buy in the US.
they're the best
low power, rwd, simple
?
Wait
Hold up
Last i looked they called it shit
Fun, but shit
I mean I just linked the consumer reports listing that you said you used as a reference yourself last year.
It's right there.
On my phone. Doesnt like opening links
Man that must be an old phone.
Nah. Just slow
2017 J3
Every phone I've used in the last 8 years has opened links fine.
Technically it does. But it is a little slow under the best circumstances
most complaints about the gt86 I've seen come down to it not having enough power because a lot of people don't seem to understand that it's a car sort of in the same bracket as the MX5 - it's a driving experience car, not a speed car
With shit internet it is worse
Well I would upload an image instead if I could, but only links are allowed.
and don't get me wrong, I wouldn't buy one because I'd like it to be faster, or if I were to buy one I'd also be immediately buying forced induction for it
The gt86 needs a supercharged uplevel version
Badly
