I've got a diesel that fits the bill
1980 Mercedes turbodiesels
Diesel cruze only comes in the higher trims
Haulage is more gay cruising slang
So, let's just be clear here, if you were to choose your idea diesel car on the market today, a car that would represent diesel cars against all gas cars, it would be the diesel Cruze with manual transmission?
LOWS
Nobody-home steering feel, not cost effective, only for dedicated diesel nuts.
This is definitely no Cruze missile. With only 137 horsepower on tap, all the torque in the world won’t thrust a 3000-pound family sedan to the top of your gotta-have-it list.
To be fair
There's not many options
I mean what else is there?
also, while this might not necessarily be all that relevant
BMW 328d?
cars with diesel engines tend to need more maintenance than their petrol counterparts
I don't know why that is
Emissions equipment
Hypothesis: lack of availability of good diesel vehicles is a result of lack of capability by manufacturers to engineer good diesel vehicles.
Which, depending on where you are, you can just rip off.
I don't think so, they always have even before the jump to diesels
But there's plenty in Europe?
like I remember diesels back in the early 90s needing more attention than petrols
though fewer people bought them
it was the late 90s and early 00s that europe really jumped on diesels
Like I said at the start, I get _why_ they don't bring them here.
Well if you were a salesman trying to convince me to buy a diesel vehicle I am not sold.
And diesels do have some objective disadvantages. It's a limited niche.
Lol I'm not.
I just like diesels.
Do you also like putting things in your bum
It's like someone trying to talk me into buying a miata.
I just don't _get_ the appeal, really. You couldn't talk me into it. Ever.
TF is this bullshit?
It looks like a catfish
well the appeal of the miata is it has a fantastic chassis and feels great to drive
It's the GTR 50 by Italdesign, you're a few weeks late, they showed that at goodwood.
it's also a reasonably cheap rwd option
It's not like you couldn't convince us to buy a diesel with facts
You just don't have the facts to do so
Because there aren't any.
So you would never consider the 944 or Miata, two classic examples of cars for people who actually want to enjoy driving.
