ewww
I like the other rendering with the smaller grill
That's a terrible Veyron replica, even in the thumbnail you can tell it's like a foot narrower than the real thing.
Almost all these clickbait abandoned car videos are just slideshows of terrible replicas
It's more Corvette-like, than weird Lamborghini knockoff
That's better but mid engine is not a Corvette
no
You might as well make James Bond a black guy
I mean that just looks like a McLaren 12c with a really weird nose.
The nose is familiar too, I don't remember it offhand but I could probably find the subject car for that if I looked.
The one you just posted.
I'm not saying the artist used the 12C to make that, but the result is basically the same up to the mirror.
Even as far as the blacked out fin in the intake.
The yellow one was done from the actual camouflaged car spotted on the track, so it's going to be pretty close
Haha
I don't like these mid engine corvette pictures
I've been following the development pretty closely. They're past the stage of using fake body panels to throw off photographers
they make me think of audi r8s
Well where are all the fake body panel spy shots? And how do you know that info?
I actually like the corvette, I like the brutal FR car with a nice long nose that is comparatively cheap for the performance, I feel like that's gonna change
They came out like 6 months ago?
Come on, catch up
I mean the press actually don't know that, unless you're actually on the project you don't either.
Well no, of course not, but there's a method to the secrecy they usually follow
Catch up on what?
I don't know of anything I've missed here.
mid engine corvette news
6 months ago? I mean there has been production mid-engined Corvette news since I was reading car and driver in the early 90s.
I don't think I missed much.
π€·π»
There have been "C8" spy shots for literally years.
Nobody wants kate spy shots, Matt
take that elsewhere
There's already an existing mid-engined Corvette Daytona Prototype that has used both C6 and C7 based bodywork through its racing career.
People basing their idea of the production model around something that's definitely the GTE Pro car will end up being disappointed when they see the actual production model.
Feel free to catch me up on whatever I've missed here though.
Besides the Ford GT which was purpose built as a race car from the start, look at anything in GTE, they all have different and significantly wider bodywork than the road car equivalent.
I think they just want to make a poor mans supercar
