Another mid engine Covette render ewwww

2018-08-14 18:29:25 UTC

That just looks like any one of the dozens of "start up supercars" that show up at the geneva auto show.

2018-08-14 18:29:32 UTC

Insanely generic render.

2018-08-14 18:29:58 UTC

Oh wow, looking at the Alonso news now

2018-08-14 18:30:48 UTC

I said it before, I don't think I said it in here, but what he really wants is that Indy 500 victory, and it's no surprise that he'll put all his focus on that if McLaren can't give him a car that can win F1 races.

He might be in a IndyCar McLaren

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's going on the wishlist

2018-08-14 18:37:37 UTC

Yeah, it's been said before that McLaren might also make a push to return to Indy, and this would be the time.

2018-08-14 18:37:44 UTC

Whoa

2018-08-14 18:38:36 UTC

Also in the meantime he can continue to drive the dominant Toyota TS050 in WEC and remind himself what winning races feels like.

2018-08-14 18:40:51 UTC

That mustang

2018-08-14 18:41:01 UTC

Will a manual be available

2018-08-14 18:42:12 UTC

It's a third party tuner, so I imagine they can source one if they need to

2018-08-14 18:43:26 UTC

Damn, Yamaha is the McLaren of MotoGP right now

2018-08-15 20:02:26 UTC

darn

2018-08-15 20:52:35 UTC

What a wild time for cars

When has it not?

and don't say the oil crisis

2018-08-15 20:56:05 UTC

I mean it was definitely less wild when the highest output Corvettes had like 180hp

2018-08-15 20:56:59 UTC

The early 70s emissions standards crippled all American performance cars, it wasn't about the oil crisis.

2018-08-15 20:58:29 UTC

It continued well into the 80s

2018-08-15 20:59:16 UTC

There were always good European performance cars through that period but not much to brag about here.

When have we not gone faster?

2018-08-15 21:01:16 UTC

What do you mean by that?

WRC Rally Cars are as fast or faster than Group B that got banned

Gimped F1 cars are faster than old school not gimped F1 cars

2018-08-15 21:02:37 UTC

I mean, do you really disagree that this is a wild time for cars? Like every 10 years all the journalists will say performance cars are finished and then a few years later they're crazier than ever.

no within 5 years someone will break 300mph

maybe within 2 or 3 years

there's a few people that wanna do it
