Actually it didn't feel quite off center until it gets the supressor on there
The AR57 captures all brass into the empty magazine
A full 50rd mag will fill up the 30rd under-mag perfectly without affecting functionality
Huh, cool feature
ive never heard of that
Well it puts the now empty mag in the bottom to good use
Yeah, I fell in love with it immediately
I think i'd prefer the brass falling to the ground just to simplify the system and make it more reliable
Well then you can presumably leave the mag off
It doesnt matter if you have the mag in to capture the casings or not. In fact, when you're engaging, its better to cap the brass than be running over it
Especially if you're burning with bump or select fire
you just put a normal 5.56 mag in to catch the 5.7 brass?
Exactly... although you have to take out the spring.. and I usually have to modify the bottom a bit when using PMAGs and a couple other types.
So it's just a mag casing
I color code them to make sure I'm using the correct one
Yes, exactly
So, in theory, you could hook a vacuum cleaner to the bottom of the empty mag...
Hahahah yes
Cool shit
As a non-practical choice, I going along with my favorite firearms, I do have to mention the Rhino Chiappa, preferally the 40 or 60 versions. I love that they have the picatinny rail builtin. Those grips though.. ahhh I think its best to use some black kiwi and really spread and rub it in to darken that wood grip
@Somnio I love me some turn of the century selfloading pistols and rifles
oh no
Machine pistols and specialty guns are also a soft spot of mine
C96 is probably my favorite gun, aesthetically
I assume you mean 1890s-1920s stuff like gewehrs, mosins, and 1911s
for turn of the century
Yeah, that's a pretty good date range
I'm also a sucker for carbines in general, especially pistol caliber ones
i hate that old stuff, lol
Some day I'll realize my childhood misconceptions and build an M1 Carbine in .45 ACP
all those old 100 year old guns are all super beat up and super expensive, you can't really collect them all
my specialty is Cold War stuff
I love just about everything from World War 2- Present
thoughts on bolt actions?
what kind of bolt actions
Much as I love the C96 I've basically accepted that even if I get a good one it's going to be a bit of a pain to use
why not get a norinco lookalike?
@Deleted User there is good bolt actions like lee enfields and mausers that feel like sex when you shoot them, and then there's Mosin Nagants which are as smooth as a cactus
SMLEs are sexy
