Nope, their Discarding Sabot rounds fracture less then Solid shot
they have the same damage effect as the Rigid Shells
only way to get kills is the rack the enemy
so you need to know all the ammo locations on all tanks
the squash heads had their armor pen nurfed, they are still usable it is just really hard, and they literally can not damage something with spaced armour
