@Reaps got any tips for killing tanks using HE with the m4a3(105) ?
1) Don't
2) Use HE
That being said, hull break is supposed to occur if the calibre of weapon is 2x that of the armour it is striking, so if you hit the hull and the armour thickness is less than appx 50mm, it should crack it
although they might have changed it in one of the many updates since then
actually you've got overmatch which ignores slope modifier (usually) if calibre of x2 of armour plate
hull break might be a per-vehicle thing
In any case I'd just be using HC most of the time with it
nfi if it's up to date though
What's the armour pen on 105 HE now anyway
all HE had their pen ratings slaughtered about a year ago
Soviet 152mm used to do at least 75mm pen if I recall
now it's something like 46
the 105HE pen is 26mm
