Come to find out, grasslands need hooved animals to walk all over it, shitting and stomping in the ground to create a sponge like layer that keeps the soil moist for longer, leading to a healthier ecosystem.
considering they not only stomp the ground to death but consume dozens and dozens times over the plant foods that a human would need to get the same nutrition and therefore use up tons of extra land there would need to be some serious black magic involved
