Didn't the UK recently ban the sell of puppies?

2018-12-28 16:19:54 UTC

Like last week

2018-12-28 16:21:51 UTC

huh, I heard about it yesterday on the radio

🤷🏿

2018-12-28 17:37:29 UTC

Guess there wont be a big purebreed market in the uk soon.

2018-12-28 17:46:40 UTC

Good. Keep that a hobby.

2018-12-28 18:08:37 UTC

No it will just kill the whole thing and pure breeds will disappear from the uk. Pure breeds cost money to set up, properly breed, prep for adoption, ect.

2018-12-28 18:08:54 UTC

At levels far beyond your inbreed walmart puppy.

2018-12-28 19:09:41 UTC

It a reason why a pure bread from a respected breeder will set you back easy 500-600£

2018-12-28 19:12:07 UTC

don't pure breeds usually have health problems? that'll set you back in too in the long run

2018-12-28 19:56:13 UTC

Depending much on the breeders. Some serious ones will go all out on making sure that the inbreeding is kept to an absolute minimum. But as always when you have people that are after easy money you will get problems

2018-12-28 21:05:39 UTC

@AlanPowell most great breeders account for breed health problems and screen all potential breeder dogs for this.

2018-12-28 21:05:48 UTC

Hence part of the cost

2018-12-28 21:06:06 UTC

I see

2018-12-28 21:07:55 UTC

Californian here

2018-12-28 21:08:09 UTC

It’s gonna do the same thing these types of regulations did to parts of Cali

2018-12-28 21:09:29 UTC

Re-housing centers turned from places where anyone could get a dog or cat so long as they had a home and the ability to buy food and supplies to these ultra-exclusive places that require months worth of interviews where only the richest with the biggest homes and incomes get the desired breeds.

2018-12-28 21:10:12 UTC

When you decrease the supply, competition for the now much-scarcer resources increases in turn.

2018-12-28 21:13:37 UTC

arent there some breeds that just have inherent health problems, such as english bulldogs? @Goblin_Slayer_Floki

2018-12-28 21:13:51 UTC

Pugs have tons of problems

2018-12-28 21:13:55 UTC

Like becoming Nazis

2018-12-28 21:14:03 UTC

(And also being unable to breathe)

2018-12-28 21:51:55 UTC

@Christopher Try leaving the city for once lol

I'm sure rural shelters don't cost nearly as much as ones in the cities.

2018-12-28 22:01:54 UTC

@Christopher pugs are a freaking crime against nature

2018-12-28 22:02:00 UTC

poor creatures

2018-12-28 22:08:49 UTC

@AlanPowell most of that is due to the inbreeding. Some breeders fine less invread strains to weed that out some. But yes some will always have some helth problems while others its just dependent on the mating. Like german shepards

2018-12-28 22:09:10 UTC

Pugs used to look quite different but the whole breed was corrupted

2018-12-28 22:10:26 UTC

interesting, how do you know so much about dogs?

2018-12-28 22:12:35 UTC

General interest when i was younger, and wifes family are dog people who generally have purebreeds.
Her grams has a pure king charles cavalier, and her aunt and uncle have had many pure breed dovermans.

2018-12-28 22:16:22 UTC

cool

2018-12-29 16:40:59 UTC

You even vape, bruh?

2018-12-29 17:38:49 UTC

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

2018-12-29 17:55:44 UTC

haha

2018-12-29 18:08:05 UTC

Damn, I wish I had enough internet to watch that. Looks absolutely hilarious

2018-12-29 18:09:02 UTC

I thought internet was a human right in Europe? Did your overlords not ration you enough bandwidth this month?

2018-12-29 18:16:10 UTC

My father is very cheap

2018-12-29 18:53:50 UTC

Get a job

Gotta spend other peoples money in socialism

2018-12-29 20:17:51 UTC

@Goblin_Slayer_Floki kek, how's that the solution?

2018-12-29 20:19:51 UTC

It's not that we can't afford wifi, it's that my father doesn't want to spend lots of money on wifi for the holiday house
