Actually we have way more guns than people
Way, way way more
Like 2.3 guns per person
People don't realize there is a clean break between the legal market and illegal market for firearms
Most guns used in crime are handguns, primarily compact or subcompact low cost semi-autos, rarely in calibers larger than 9mm
Rifles used in crime are exceedingly rare, fewer than 5% of weapons confiscated by the police are long guns
The vast majority are stolen, most of the rest are straw purchases
People buying guns legally and using them in a crime is almost unheard of
Gun shops are required by law to keep records of sales for a short period of time
My favorite thing is when journos say something like "long guns" or "assault weapons", then roll with it like those terms mean something concrete
Seems unbiased
north korea....
pretty much
the last tweet's most popular response is just the 'stop stop he's already dead' gif

Strange to think that, back then, people got the fucking joke:
What do you mean?
Look off to the right
Some of those dudes could probably have served during the actual war
and they're still laughing
The culture today is hypersensitive
Oh
Got it
Like, I guess that 2-3 years ago people would see it as a joke too
Things ramped up pretty quick
Shit got worse after Trump got it
I think Richard Belzer threw out a salute a few years back
Not sure if Motherboard wrote about how 'problematic' it is that celebritites are 'normalising fascist culture' or something though
I don't know what happened to vice, they had a share of progressive stuff, but they also had a good share of good stuff
oh well
Funny you mention Vice
Their cover of Ukraine was awesome
I was going to say a few hours ago how it's so weird that Vice Sports still seems like a good source for things, whereas the rest of Vice has just slid downhill at a rapid pace
They figured money can be easily made from beeing partisan
