But he was very far from a saint
what did he jail for
dont say criticism
that was allowed
Many things. Political dissent being one.
called it
Not criticism
appears they're the same thing
I'll rephrase
Political opponents
Better?
people who criticize the government = political opponents
Abu salim prison
Human rights violations there
alleged*
No doubt he lifted up his people. But he did not do it bloodlessly.
its not like the west is guilty of killing innocents
didnt eisenhower kill like 1m german pows extrajudicially
The west's bloodstains are irrelevant here. We are discussing gaddafi. Believe me i have a lot to say about the west's atrocities
right i thought you were one of those people who say the west does nto do these things
My point is don't romanticize
I am in general adversarial to government actions. I believe in extreme rigor and watchdogs.
i mean, i dont really have sympathy for the kinds of people who went to that prison
its hard to
Rights are rights. If you can take them from one you can take them from all.
Sympathy or not. If that massacre happened it was wrong.
if it happened

I agree

I give the guy points for being self aware, but honestly believing Trump is anything close to a "worst nightmare" for the left is also part of the problem.
Hell, thats what is driving the hysteria, the insane belief that Trump is going to destroy the world when he is a crushingly mediocre politician in every way. Most of his success is owed to that hysteria.
Trump isn't mediocre imo. I'm not his biggest fan but he had made some moves. Though the N. korea summit greatly dissappointed me.
Yes he has.
Which is why i said mediocre and not awful
With 5 being perfectly meh. Trump is a 6.5
Of course with time that can change. It just depends.
