2018-07-13 17:46:58 UTC

but then gowdy isn't moraly relativistic enough

2018-07-13 17:47:14 UTC

malcador can be an evil fucker, at times

2018-07-13 17:49:40 UTC

I'm not well versed on Thatcherite Politics but what I do know is that she was radical when it came anti-socialist policies and general political alignment. I also know that she was much more conservative and heavy handed in her use of government but was overall effective in her economic reforms and anti-socialist ethos. So my question is, Should UKIP/ the Liberalists try to brand themselves along the lines of Neo-Thatcherism?

2018-07-13 17:55:23 UTC

Well history hasn't been kind to thatcher

2018-07-13 17:55:47 UTC

whether he policies were good or not, she isn't a popular person

2018-07-13 17:55:59 UTC

How come?

2018-07-13 17:56:10 UTC

dunno

2018-07-13 17:56:20 UTC

the polltax wasn't popular

2018-07-13 17:56:31 UTC

and she is blamed for destroying the mining industry

2018-07-13 17:57:36 UTC

Hmm... is she disliked by the youth?

2018-07-13 17:59:39 UTC

they could try deifying her in the realm of Churchill, Reagan, and the like. It could garner support if framed as an anti-socialist crusade

2018-07-13 17:59:47 UTC

I wouldn't count on her being popular

2018-07-13 18:00:34 UTC

also not sure if sargon is as economically libertarian as thatcher was

2018-07-13 18:01:36 UTC

very true, I don't think I would be either but a strong counter weight to an authoritarian economy is always useful

2018-07-13 18:01:45 UTC

It could force a meeting in the middle

2018-07-13 18:03:19 UTC

besides her as a figure were her policies generally liked (besides the poll tax)

2018-07-13 18:04:12 UTC

I'm honestly not sure if I'm aggainst the poll tax

2018-07-13 18:04:31 UTC

and again there are still people who believe she ruined industry in britain

2018-07-13 18:05:38 UTC

In general though, is she seen as a good figure or bad? I'm American so I have no clue about this stuff

2018-07-13 18:06:40 UTC

from my experience, bad

2018-07-13 18:07:08 UTC

I personally think of her as a net positive influence on britain and the world

2018-07-13 18:07:50 UTC

From what I can tell she was a more effective version of Reagan but ended up less liked than him

2018-07-13 18:09:11 UTC

But I also think the circumstance of the UK was much worse so a stronger hand was needed which is why I like her but don't like Reagan

2018-07-13 18:11:49 UTC

Well reagan seemed to only be verbally against big government

2018-07-13 18:12:01 UTC

but he managed to spend much more than he said he wasn't going to

2018-07-13 18:15:32 UTC

Sadly, that's not very surprising when it comes to American Presidents

2018-07-13 18:18:04 UTC

Interestingly I think that's a big reason for why we haven't made Puerto Rico a state, with debt being a major issue we don't want to deal with a nation that had massive debt already and also needs major upgrading and updating. Too big a cost for not much in return

2018-07-13 18:19:11 UTC

Puerto Rico obviously needs some pinochet

2018-07-13 18:20:22 UTC

Helicopter economy is best economy

2018-07-13 18:26:43 UTC

2018-07-13 18:27:03 UTC

it sounds like the defence team were a bunch of lazy incompetants

2018-07-13 20:03:15 UTC

lol

2018-07-13 20:03:20 UTC

Trump broke royal protocol.

2018-07-13 20:08:49 UTC

Royal protocol is for subjects and slaves

2018-07-13 20:13:04 UTC

fuck em

2018-07-13 20:16:10 UTC

Royal Protocol specifically being?

2018-07-13 20:16:24 UTC

Saluting to the American flag is for subjects and slaves <:think_woke:378717098681171988>

2018-07-13 20:19:34 UTC

Also this claim to 250000 people protesting is absolute horseshit.

2018-07-13 20:19:42 UTC
