o.o shut it islander
a great wave will knock u light weight over
Lol, guess again! We don't have any fault lines. Earthquake much Ameritards?
🇬🇧
Honestly, the 'hope' that universal healthcare and free tuition "could work" is why we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
*"If only we expanded the government just a little bit more. You won't notice, I swear."*
Next thing you know, you're radically redistributing people's wealth
Again, technicaly we have free tuition if you are a failure after you Graduate or drop out (if you don't earn above £21k annually, you don't pay but still get interest)
It's just an excuse to increase state powers, under the guise of morality and care for the poor
How though? It lets them get gender studies free 😂 How will they earn £21k+
Most Western European countries have functioning healthcare systems, and proper tuition fees for students
In the case of Sweden and Denmark the state even pays you to go to higher educations
Ye
Scotland pays for your tuitions if you're a scottish or EU/EEA student
Ameritards are like "buh mugh dollars 'n Kappalusm"
yeh, they don't like putting money for the common good, they just want to pay for themselves
I intend to pay mine off, but our system won't bankrupt me like theirs would before I get on my feet
"Functioning" for the past 40 years at most, running off of fumes from the previous generations contributions
How many of these are stretched to their limits at the moment?
Canada's is failing now
the threshold for paying it back was raised a while ago, you dont pay anything until you're earning more than ~24k now iirc
Still functioning to the present day.
Only this year mate @Vopi if you had a loan out for an earlier term that was 21k it applies still I think?
Canada used to have great doctors, prior to socialized medicine. Now that that generation has retired, their quality is dropping significantly and they're traveling to the US for care
oh right, not sure if old loans were grandfathered in or not, i go to uni in october, as a mature student
says here if you started your undergrad on or after sept 2012, so applies to some from previous years
What's your degree?
For me the US election caught me mid degree. It started to get people's ideologies more clear and out in the open
im not sure what to make of the uni i'll be going to, can't tell if it's infested or not
Ah, interesting so art school?
actually scratch that, it is. mandatory consent course, yey.
@Vopi You shouldn't really be worried about whether unis are infested with SJWs or not. Even if you disagree with them, you can still get your degree and live fine. Just don't be an absolute jackass. People will respect your ideas if you're respectful. If you waive a kekistani flag and call everyone a libtard cuck... then yeh people will treat you badly.
games and how they are the most inclusive medium in history 😛
@Capitán Alatriste never have, and honestly I dont want want to be another TheQuartering
Don't want to be*
i appreciate the reassuring words, just not sure what to expect, i've heard some horror stories am probably just being overly cautious
People on the right tend to overexaggerate it, and it really mostly depends how you behave yourself.
There are a lot of left leaning people in uni, it's how it is, and how it's always been
Some are worse than others. Mine is pretty chill with politics, but the Student Union ban all centre and right speakers
It's not uncommon
