well they are willing to do anything to delay it to after the midterm in hope that the blue wave is real and not just a puddle
I just find it funny they say he will be 'above the law'. No one even a supreme court justice is technically above the law.
There just is no precident atm of a scotus justice commiting a crime yet.
God. I decided to do some preliminary research on Wikipedia about Adali Stevenson, Ikes opponent in 1952 and 56, before doing a more deep dive. To me it sounds like Adali Stevenson is probably the birth of Entitled, arrogant, snooty democrats going against whats best for their voters, and calling them uneducated when they vote against them.
The entire article is so sappy its sick. "'You were too good for the American people.' Adlai Stevenson ended the 1952 campaign with an adoring group of Stevensonites. Articulate and loyal...they would soon create the Stevenson legend..."
More proof Kefauver was the better choice.
The article even tacitly admits that Stevenson only won the primary in the first place against Kefauver due to the fact that Kefauver was a threat to Democratic political machines in his pursuit of dismantling organised crime.
Either way, I like Ike.

Huh, I've seem to have missed this
Anarcho-capitalism is so great
No it isn't
Anything that operates in chaos with no infrastructure is doomed to implode.
Anarcho-capitalism is based on magical thinking
Ancaps are just as bad as Ansocs
No society has ever survived through Anarchy. Not even Tribes.
There must be a power heirachy, and there undoubtedly would be - in the forms of arms races between neighbouring people.
Woah, chill. So I'd argue that anarchy isn't chaos bc the services of law and order could easily be provided by the free market
infact it already is
Yeah... They work for THE STATE
In India and China they work with the state
Private security workers...................work for the state 🤔
Thats a claim that must be justified
They aren't civil servants, but their jurisdiction and powers are granted and controlled by the state, ESPECIALLY in China
If the laws that you want enforced are fine already, there is nothing stopping the free market to provide services that enforce such regulations for a private entity such as a company or a household
It would devolve into a feudalistic power heirachy
Like Cartels
Cartels are pretty good examples of real like Anarchal capitalism
Nope, those private rights enforcement agencies that abuse their power would be less favoured by the public and so will not get as much business. Do you mean the economic or coloquial definition of Cartel?
Both
@AsianMessiah Dude, if the enforcement agencies have a monopoly on physical force, what stops them seizing powers.
Well as Rothbard points out cartels wont occur in ancapistan for two reasons: 1) When companies join together to raise prices and lower quality, this opens the door up to competitors to steal their market share and accumulate the commerce of consumers by offering a higher service and lower price. 2) This incentivises existing members of the cartel to break away from the group to avoid sharing the consumer activity with the others and lower prices as a result
What if the Cartel has a monopoly on force
Enforcement agencies wont have a monopoly on force, there will always be another to challenge their claim. And this implies that the cartel with the monopoly on force will be worse than the power-hungry mess of a government we have today
Woke is he who realises that warlords have already taken over
Woke is a stupid word and using it yourself is self-determined in my eyes
Agreed
Awake or Insighted
Pick one
I prefer enlightened
