You know, it's the actor that makes the script good, not the other way around. Acting is not reading a script. It's about interpreting it, having a distinct personality with it
Comedians like Jimmy Kimmel don't just read the script, they also know how to read it and make it sound funny. Comedic timing, posture and body language etc...
Just because he made a joke about his Kavanaugh's Penis doesn't mean it's the end of the world.... it's a joke, in a comedy show...
and if you've watched the bit, you'll see that it's only one line, literally a couple of seconds, and doesn't even comprise the main joke.
