i actually think it's because some idiot picked up the laptop by the screen, and two screws popped off, so now it's not holding together properly, so it's fucking with the keys

and the plastic is cracked in some spots
i tried taping it, ut it's not holding up too well

if you have a soldering iron you can solder a wire to the broken screw and twist it out
it's not actually the screw that broke, but the plastic bit it screws into broke off, so there is nothing to screw it into
