Here has always been corruption in Vzla, but it exploded since 2003 where the socialist government implemented the state control currency exchange
can you prove that?
Im on mobile rn.
But you can Google "bolichicos"
Or see how much money Chavez' daughter has
yeah, corruption is a bitch, but I dont see how this is unique to socialism
It's not unique, but it's exponentially increased
by what specific policy?
In this case was the currency exchange
But that's enough, now you explain to me how Venezuela failed
If it wasn't socialism
Venezuela failed due to corruption, US interference, a collapsing oil market, internal corporate elites stocking up and hiding supplies in an attempt to turn public opinion against the government
"professional" "designers" are the bane of my fuckin life

There's no such thing as US interference, in fact, most people there are begging for one
During the last 20 years oil has been peak high
So the income should've been high enough that even us interference wouldn't matter
its not about oil prices
Wait, that's my next point chill out
It is
It's $85 now c'mon Venezuela
Because with the mid 2000s prices it would've been enough to survive any criais
START TRYING
The thing is they can't even try, oil infrastructure is (at least) 20 y.o. With barely any maintenance
Because the oil company was statized around 2002
And they kicked practically all qualified workera
Workers*
exactly
And about stockpiling. The only ones caught stockpiling were government owned
The cherry on top of the cake is that gasoline is basically free.
And they are implementing a system where party members will still get it for free, and everyone else has to pay international price
alright?
There's no possible way to survive that way
Now extrapolate that to a whole country
