@haserd2 teaches and pruciples ignoring the enforcement of zero tolerance policies is a thing of the past. Because if even the bullys parents find out they can sue and that would be a nightmare.

@Goblin_Slayer_Floki that's why you beat up the bully and his parents <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>

2018-11-12 21:40:43 UTC

Zero tolerance "no talking" policies aren't really a thing

2018-11-12 21:41:04 UTC

^ not too sure about the zero tolerance policy not being true

2018-11-12 21:41:31 UTC

im fairly certain back when i was in high school there was a zero tolerance policy to bullying/ racist activity

2018-11-12 21:41:47 UTC

but it was pretty grey what would be considered racist activity/ bullying

2018-11-12 21:41:50 UTC

With talking? The whole notion of "zero tolerance" exists entirely within the context of bullying and school yard violence

2018-11-12 21:42:09 UTC

if you laugh at a kid for falling over they consider that to be bullying

2018-11-12 21:42:16 UTC

i was sent to detention over that

2018-11-12 21:42:33 UTC

idk where you started talking about 'talking in class' but somehow we got on that topic lol

2018-11-12 21:42:40 UTC

lol

2018-11-12 21:43:03 UTC

part of the problem is im trying to write a paper for class and talk here

2018-11-12 21:43:15 UTC

need to go asexual and begin mitosis to keep up my dude

2018-11-12 21:43:59 UTC

"Zero tolerance" only refers to a trend of schools implementing anti-bullying policies. Nothing else.

2018-11-12 21:44:35 UTC

right but what can be considered bullying is left up to the school is it not?

2018-11-12 21:44:37 UTC

or the administration

2018-11-12 21:45:02 UTC

IE why can laughing at a student tripping and falling be considered bullying at my high school and not others

2018-11-12 21:45:11 UTC

in most cases is "Zero tolerance" for speaking up about bulling

2018-11-12 21:45:21 UTC

Yeah, that gets more weird, but you were bringing up like talking in class about homework and other strange examples

2018-11-12 21:45:46 UTC

And I'm all like "What are you on about?"

2018-11-12 21:45:59 UTC

``
BrowntanManToday at 1:51 PM
How harsh are your policies
do people get in trouble for talking during class?``

2018-11-12 21:46:05 UTC

thats what i was responding to

2018-11-12 21:47:27 UTC

Ahh, I thought he was asking how broad are zero tolerance policies, and what exactly is covered by them.

2018-11-12 21:47:40 UTC

gotcha

2018-11-12 21:47:51 UTC

zero tollerence can be like used broadly when it comes to anything

2018-11-12 21:48:06 UTC

IE we have a zero tolerence policy on using phones in our college classrooms during class

2018-11-12 21:48:27 UTC

I guess, but in this context, it refers to "bullying"

2018-11-12 21:48:38 UTC

right

2018-11-12 21:48:47 UTC

then yea we are mental with that

2018-11-12 21:49:06 UTC

there needs to be a removal of the grey area that dictates what is and what is not bullying

2018-11-12 21:49:17 UTC

like an actual defined example

2018-11-12 21:50:00 UTC

How about if it's an actual crime? lol

2018-11-12 21:50:18 UTC

Like extortion, or violent threats, or assault?

2018-11-12 21:50:19 UTC

@Fitzydog what zero tolerance actually achieves
