Gangsta Rap Classes
It's just social justice ideology on behalf of the union
That's the opposite of a union problem
The union should have led a lawsuit
no, that kid would be gone
Sounds like your uncle had a seriously fucked up union
Really? The union is the one telling him he can't punish the ~~black~~ under privileged students
π€
It's one of the largest in the country
I dunno, maybe shit's different now
Very
Veritas did a thing on them
Another issue I have with charter schools, is that their teachers don't typically do their own lessons. They get handed what to do and say.
That is a good way to introduce institutional bias into instruction.
We should pay teachers better, so more people would be willing to teach. And stop basing pay on performance of students. That leads to the smarter kids getting no attention.
You serious?
Absolutely.
Lemme explain
The budget here has like $15k per student per year in funding
They look at the average scores of a class to judge a teacher on. Sounds great right?
Sounds like you've been hoovering up the Leftist talking points about our schools
Problem is, the best way to raise the scores, is to focus on the students with the worst scores. Raise the low scores and you look like your doing really well.
The administrators make 6 figures a year
In reality you're focusing on a minority of the classroom, and the best students don't excel.
Fuck the admin
They're always shit
You can't though, they're protected by the union
And no, I'm not taking any talking points. These are all observations made by my mother and I over many years.
Why can't teachers negotiate their own wages?
They're not really teachers though, they're bureaucrats.
And good fucking luck. You're negotiating with the government.
Unless you know someone on the school board you're fucked.
So.... privatize the school?
So they can negotiate their wages
Would be great. But when government mandates everyone attend school, even homeless kids need to have access.
The Jesuits seemed to do it just fine before we made them public
But Oregon did it first, because the Protestants were scared of Catholic schools
Where do they make their money if tuition is free?
And if tuition isn't free then where do poor kids go?
I literally just told you
