if uk leaves the ue, does it mean that conservatives will actually become conservatives
or will the uk politicians just force their own different but same brand of idiocy
like in the eu
if your politicians dont stop competing in intersectional olympics, there is no reason for brexit to happen
@Militant the only issue with "Economy Schools" is it would fall pray to the socialism rampent in school systems. As current Economics courses are already starting to.
@desert hamster Conservatives in the UK havent been conservative since Margaret Thatcher, Change My Mind.
i would not know, i am talking about it as an outsider
i was in the uk once in 2002 before all the idiocy started and i was amazed by the amount of nannying and control that i saw. i am guessing it is much worse now.
thats my birthyear
epic
But even if they didn't Having a Brexit is still important and needed. It starts the chain of either Conservatives returning to Thatcher times, OR a new party grows for the needs of the new independant UK to take their place.
Brexit is but a step in the right direction, not the finish line.
as long as you have the chain of EU around UK neck they cant improve
eu in itself is not a bad idea, the problem is the bureaucracy that answers to no one that has appeared
they wanted to do too much too fast
Actually the EU in itself is a horrid Idea. Read the founding documents
It was broken from the beginning
Unless your "Idea" of what the EU was meant to be is the romanticized BS that was spoon fed to people, and some still believe
EU was made to make a united states of Europe with a unelected ruling class like back when we did have kings
since people did not mingle enough to make federazation possible, they brought in the "new europeans" to make a new "master race"
if they have done it in lets say a 100 years, made it possible for real political blocks to form naturally
that actually represent the people of europe
I spit on people who compare the EU to the US. As fundamentally they are opposites. the US was built to be bottom up, where the EU was built top down.
then europe would become a political powerhouse of the world
@desert hamster Federalization is impossible in Europe
problems comes that EU is running out of time. they did not have a 100 years to wait, now they don't have 10 years
Yea Europe is far to devided to be federalized.
@desert hamster Do you think America had 50 states and stretched across the whole continent before we became a nation?
And the EU adopted far to many socialistic/protectionist ideals to survive a European Federalization.
even Germany is having huge problems keeping it together
@Fitzydog well it did have roughly 13...>_>
@Fitzydog yes, that is why integration should have been slowed until people felt a real sense of belonging to europe
But the key was the Nation was founded Bottom Up.
@desert hamster Wait, what?
ok, let me explain
india
With the flow of power. Granted that became muttled post Civil war.
has 1.3 billion people
china has 1.4 i think
the US was united in less then 100 years. a 100 years in Europe is a blink of an eye in the history books
usa has 350 million
