Sorry was gone to do something. Referring to your points, yes I believe a fence is a more reasonable response, there are already miles of fence between the US and Mexico. I believe that the funds for Trump's Wall are better suited for increasing border patrols and enabling a smoother Visa system which encourages legal border crossings. As well as a better detection method for illegal crossings, especially in the less densely populated parts of Arizona and New Mexico where most of the illegal entries occur .A fence is not as direct as message as a wall, merely it is to mark in a more "friendly" way that there is a line on the ground, please respect it.
