But only for moving stuff, for non moving stuff CRT were absolute garbage

2019-12-06 20:45:04 UTC

and games like AOE also work very well/better on TFT

2019-12-06 21:05:41 UTC

And keep in mind: They are using a 3k€/USD 24" Screen

2019-12-06 21:06:01 UTC

compare the average joe, ~500€ Screen to modern 450-600€ Screens

2019-12-06 22:05:07 UTC

how much does that CRT cost today?

2019-12-06 22:05:11 UTC

the one in the video

2019-12-06 22:41:18 UTC

There's no monitor stand for CRT

2019-12-06 22:42:15 UTC

Either you're a pleb that can afford CRT or a king with a high refresh monitor

2019-12-06 23:28:05 UTC

I think a normal table can take it just fine... I think

2019-12-06 23:29:29 UTC

There's probably something kinda comfy about having a bunch of crts blasting heat at you in winter though

dank setup^^^^

2019-12-06 23:40:15 UTC

He's got a sony triniton, the last model before they stopped making them. It's one of the best CRT's you can get for retro gaming, i'm assuming this pic is old

2019-12-06 23:40:24 UTC

hopefully he didn't get rid of it

2019-12-06 23:40:27 UTC

damn there's even a n64 in there

2019-12-06 23:41:43 UTC

2005-2010 is my guess

2019-12-07 02:06:28 UTC

> how much does that CRT cost today?
I think somewhere around 600€ or so, if you can get your hands on it.
And remember. Nobody knows how to ship CRT these days, so you better drive there and get it yourself

2019-12-07 02:06:57 UTC

and remember: you need a DP to Analog Converter as well as most GPU don't support Analogue no more

2019-12-07 02:08:24 UTC

And remember: its around 20 Years old!

2019-12-07 12:48:29 UTC

and remember, owning and moving a crt makes you buffed, that's why pre 2005 gamers had chicks
