Either way, present-day Libertarians don't agree politically with Hayek. You could basically find statements in Hayek's work that any Bernie bro would probably find themselves agreeing with.
Remember that Mises literally stormed out of a meeting with Hayek and Friedmen yelling "you're all a bunch of Socialists". Literally nobody in Mises's life testified to him to having a temper but he was so pissed that everyone in this conference started arguing for negative income tax.
