It would bring on all sorts of new problems, though.... Islam is strict about stupid things, too. Not just women
Maybe we can make a new denomination that allows drinking, but is still tough on the hoes

Maybe establish like, a reverse lent where during certain holidays you're permitted to indulge in alcohol
and have them be spread out enough throughout the year that few feel the compulsion to treat it like a new years party or spring break
and make exceptions for people with clear dependency who need to be weaned off, so they don't freaking die
because apparently with alcoholics that's actually a real fucking thing
I watched a few videos back of this, where some dude finally realized how much alcohol he was consoooming daily, and it was affecting his health, so he decided to wean himself off. But even just cutting back by like, 5% a day lead to a health crisis only about a week in.

These were the 16 points that Hitler proposed for the corridor, given to the Poles months prior to the war and finally broadcast, almost by accident, by the BBC a day before Sept. 1st;
Chamberlain, in his now infamous speech of Sept. 3rd declaring war on Germany over Danzig, falsely claimed that the proposals never reached the Poles
