Use has also increased

2019-10-19 01:43:25 UTC

We can both read the book, and discuss the merits of its arguments.

2019-10-19 01:43:29 UTC

okay, so you want me to read a book that you haven't read, which you claim says something that I now is empirically not true

2019-10-19 01:43:31 UTC

Almost doubling, in both cases

2019-10-19 01:43:32 UTC

no, I don't need to

2019-10-19 01:43:36 UTC

I literally don't need to

2019-10-19 01:43:51 UTC

its an empirical fact that under prohibition, alcohol use was reduced

2019-10-19 01:43:59 UTC

not only that, but its repeatable

2019-10-19 01:44:02 UTC

it literally doesn't matter to this guy whats what

2019-10-19 01:44:06 UTC

what matters is his feelings

2019-10-19 01:44:10 UTC

I never said he claimed drugs didn't reduce consumption, though I'm pretty sure such statistics are completely unreliable anyway.

2019-10-19 01:44:10 UTC

about what is right

2019-10-19 01:44:15 UTC

a repeatable phenomenon under many scenarios

2019-10-19 01:44:34 UTC

yes, you're right its pure feeling

2019-10-19 01:44:46 UTC

Next prohibition will be on non-reproductive sex acts

2019-10-19 01:44:48 UTC

he wants so badly for prohibition of something to INCREASE its usage

2019-10-19 01:44:49 UTC

By 2024

2019-10-19 01:45:01 UTC

just because of ideology

2019-10-19 01:45:03 UTC

PURE

2019-10-19 01:45:04 UTC

ideology

2019-10-19 01:45:07 UTC

schniff

2019-10-19 01:45:12 UTC

@Nerthulas you literally don't know if he makes that argument.

2019-10-19 01:45:19 UTC

neither do you

2019-10-19 01:45:20 UTC

Now you're just strawmanning.

2019-10-19 01:45:22 UTC

but I know you made it

2019-10-19 01:45:25 UTC

But such stats are unreliable

2019-10-19 01:45:31 UTC

Muh empiricism

2019-10-19 01:45:43 UTC

😂

2019-10-19 01:45:47 UTC

"muh evidence"

2019-10-19 01:45:59 UTC

How can the government measure the black market? A market they have zero control over. Why would a citizen openly admit to consuming alcohol at a time where it was a crime? I can't trust the studies methodology.

I've made this argument before and you've completely failed to address it.

2019-10-19 01:46:04 UTC

"you think that EVIDENCE can cause me to disbelieve in my ideology?!?"

2019-10-19 01:46:07 UTC

*scoffs*

2019-10-19 01:46:11 UTC

Yes

2019-10-19 01:46:19 UTC

I have no reason to trust the evidence.

2019-10-19 01:46:23 UTC

It's flawed.

2019-10-19 01:46:47 UTC

its the best measures that we have

2019-10-19 01:46:50 UTC

You can't measure the consumption of an item on the black market, not effectively. It's the black market.

2019-10-19 01:46:54 UTC

the measures were consistent

2019-10-19 01:46:57 UTC

They're unreliable measures.

2019-10-19 01:47:01 UTC

you want to get rid of the black market?
