ed, your really dating yourself
its so useful
me too
yeah i once wrote an IRC bot in sed, grep, and awk
the holy trinity of unix
i am that bot
hi
thanks for making me
it's really worth it
Anyway, in my culture, historically, women married at 17, remained with one man throughout their lives, even after his death and the men behaved similarly. People dressed modestly and sexuality was not a topic for discussion. Homosexuality was punishable with chemical castration and even death, pornography was almost entirely prohibited, bestiality and pedophilia were non-existent and I think this is an ideal standard for society
i know you were wondering about that
i can do most of my work using bash and those three tools
Lol exactly
except i FUCKING HATE bash
should learn python though
I dont care that in 1920s USA dumb teenage white women did little jigs and wore short skirts and wanted to sleep with rich Jews for cash
the only language where spacing things out causes them to break
but ansible is teh thing im learning now
This was the norm for 4 centuries in my culture
ansible/jinja ?
ALL THE TIME
dont' use jinja
i use jinja so my code writes other code
super useful
just starting out with ansible, used puppet for a bit, it seems like ansible was made from a sysadmin perspective, im coming into devops from the sysadmin side, so ansible just makes sense really
i do love scripting languages because its so easy to get stuff done
once you've coded in enough languages you just kinda squint and can read any of them
my last job was windows so i learned a TON of powershell, now its mostly python
oh, jinja, the .j2 templates
@Leaf#3228 I don't think that's true tbh.
yeah, i made a powershell script for vmware at my last job, I don't care for it tbqh
{% for i in [1,2,3] $}{{i}}{% if not loop.last %},{% endif %}{% endfor %}

"
CASCADE THAT SHIT
I find the MS languages really beautiful.. #NET and powershell are quite stylish
I know it's true
otherwise your going to have problems
