the anti-hedonistic outlook is about preparing for death
and dealiing with poverty
Leaf desires american gf
I see wealth facilitating their hedonistic behaviors, not the other way around
Maybe the LEADERs of all weathy societies are hedonistic. But wealth consentration matters
and wealth produciton
might depend on the form of wealth
I could probably use the stands that they have at the gym, or maybe the squat racks
I agree
<:pinothink:401744526915534858>
wealth attracts jews which creates hedonism
its simple
hahahaha
Pleasure and pain is what makes people *LEARN*
reward and punnishment.
We only obey society because we will be rewarded for it..
when we learn to do something.. there will be a reward
or else we forget.
SHUT IT DOWN
honest work and a very good income might less often lead to hedonism than for example welfare or a jewish scam income
so not the height of it is the deciding factor
A society cannot be healthy if it is hedonistic and if it cannot be healthy it cannot last, so the wealthy, hedonistic condition, even if you find it desirable, is fleeting and temporary by nature. That said, if you find it desirable then why are you hear complaining when you already are free to partake in a wealthy, hedonistic culture?
hedonism..is not jewish...
the greek hedonists where not jews..
and they where also capitalists
i didn't say that
the jews doesnt really want people to be happy I think
just look at hollywood, looks jewish, hedonistic and like a a-moral form of income generation
all the great kingdoms have massive statues
and massive luxeries
including SEXUAL motives
I think the disparity in understanding here is based on the fact that virtue may be using the term hedonist specifically in the realm of philosophy while we've attached connotations to it based on it's cultural relevance
I have the confederate flag on a jean jacket
no
Virtue, what is hedonistic behaviour?
Gustav who are you and why are you redpilling me
Oh
I brought the jew only up as a amoral form of income generation
Dashi
the babylonians and the assyrians..
the non-hedonistic societies doesnt produce
great socieites because they are modest
and value restraint.
I kind of see what you are saying in the Ancient Greece perspective. If you were a cynic and very overly austere, you would have seen those motivated by luxuries as degenerate, but their motivation helps contribute to the rise of Greece
that's why he was in the same half sentence as the welfare recipient
But there comes a point where a society becomes too hedonistic and begins to prey on itself
@Leaf
I have no idea what hedonistic behavour would be *exactly*.
I do have an idea about hedonistic learning / teaching
and how hedonism correspend with art
and with organisation of society.
and it has not very much to do with sex
