Seemed pretty ok with it
It's seems extremely consistent if nothing else
What do you guys think was the most important part of Alexander the Great's Empire?
Mesopotamia, Egypt or Persia?
that historians wrote about it
In terms of the value it provided to the Greek people and the empire
well it far apart quickly after his death
most of the wealth was received from Egypt / Persia tho
@Leaf Probably 0 to the Greek people
he took the best warriors they had and married them to sand people
What was long lasting was the Hellenic culture left by the cities he founded
That was his legacy
BUT, it did spread hellenism to the east
and probably led to Christianity / western dominance
yes
Right up until islam fucked all that up
Greeks remained in Egypt until the 20th century and were the most dominant factor in the Sudanese slave trade through Egypt and Nile valley agriculture
He would leave Greek soldiers in cities old and newly founded and raise Persian children on Hellenic schooling
As well, Greeks were basically the majority in much of Anatolia
I'd say it expanded their living space and turned Egypt into a huge commercial boon
Dunno about Persia, that's why I ask
Wtf was the benefit of Persia?
Just because it was cool 😎
