my town has a high population of chinese students attending high prestige private schools
they are fascinating, btw
chinese people appear to be deeply schizophrenic, depending mainly on wether they live outside of china or not
which ones are the schizos?
native chinese
due to social pressures?
yes, almost entirely due to the massive propaganda pressure they have lived under for decades/generations
The ones who travel the world and see everything is much more complex than the government says it is are practically escapees. they've seen the world, they've basically become americanised or westernised at least.
yes
they can *think*
but the borg still exists.
lol
because the native chinese have been engineered to think exactly how the state wants
yeah, there are plenty of things online about chinese views about their own government. they basically refuse to question it.
it's not just a problem of lack of free speech, but also proscribed speech/language
which is why I try to question people who redefine language
they are attempting to redefine thought
that's why i brought up hong kong. that conflict would have been a means for war back in the day... but now thanks to global information transfer the chinese government has to play it cool. if they attack, their own people awaken.
and the infighting starts.
their population is HUGE
I don't know, I suspect historically the HK peoplle would have just ejected the malcontents
no need to start a war, just clean house
it's almost impossible to eject malcontents these days, that seems to be a big difference
they need to drip in info from other countries slowly. imagine if the chinese internet was uncensored all at once... pure chaos.
but even then it would lead to more globalist nonsense and wouyld be bad for the whole planet eventually.
Chinese society has developed at basically breakneck speed - the only reason the population really tolerates and supports the government is that that it has overseen and secured this rapid development, prosperity, and stability
a war would wipe all of that out in a few years
i am way too black pilled about this stuff lol.
there's just no reason for it
I'm fine with leaving china to it's own devices, within it's own currently established borders ofc
the Chinese government maintains power through a tacit bargain with its population to ensure security and prosperity
the prosperity of China is dependent on its export economy
like all state authorities
china needs to sustain it's own population somehow, but the baby policies are just messed up. how do you even get a fine line between population growth and isolation at the same time. it's such a massive task.
the United States, aside from being China's biggest customer, controls international sea lanes
there is no way, in a Great Powers War, that the United States would permit its opponents to engage in sea trade
without sea trade, the economy of China will collapse
in the past, wars would thin out the population. now we can't do that.
